You're kidding! Aviemore was one of the cheapest places I've bought diesel recently :shock:0

I miss my imported wrx impreza, gloss black, chipped and soooo much fun to drive BUT I don't miss the fuel bill!!! I did a couple of track days in it and averaged 7mpg!
I turned to the darkside (diesel) last April and still find it funny getting nearly 600 miles to a tank full, compared to 250 (if I behaved)
Roll on hydrogen fuel celled sports cars, lol0 -
Garage fuel prices by me vary massively.Filled up at a Shell garage this morning at £1.30,the Shell garage further up the road was 1.34,the local BP garage is 1.38.
Tescos by comparison is 1.34.
Don`t know if anyone else notices this but my car ,a 1.6 petrol Focus seems to get slightly better mpg out of regular unleadeded Shell fuel than Tescos fuel,(approx 1-2 mpg better) so I shall be sticking with my local Shell,as long as they keep the price down.
Generally get 32 on short journeys but got 37 on my last tank.
Thank god I sold my 2.3 petrol Galaxy MPV earlier this year,as I was getting 24mpg on average.......2006 Giant XTC

2016 Boardman Pro 29er
2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4

I've noticed that I seem to get less mpg from the diesel sold at Morrisons0

yarp Asda diesel and teco seem to give me less than Shell by me and the shell is the same price.
And lvquestpaddler it's got a lot to do with USD/GBP exchange due to oil being traded in USD.0 -
Well that was bloody painful: round-trip to visit the folks in Devon just cost me over 300€ in fuel plus 60€ for the ferry ticket.
Had to top-up at Fleet Services @ £1.44 for 95ron, which caused me some anguish...
Fuel in Germany is still about 15% more expensive than the UK right now, so I filled it to the brim in Dover, even though the station there isn't the cheapest around, it still works out cheaper than topping-up in France or Belgium..
We won't be doing that again for a while.
Car was running well: @ 31mpg for the trip...not bad for an 11-year old car with 105k on the clock.
The average I saw during the visit was about £1.35 for 95ron and £1.39 for 98.
Over here it's way more: @ 1.70€ for 98 (about £1.48 in Ye Englishe Pounds) which is my preferred tipple.0 -

On my own, maybe, but with GF, 3-month old, camera-kit and all the paraphanalia that entails, maybe not...0
