Richrd2205 extends his overall lead after Romandie. Now out to 71 points

Although with more points on offer now that we're into grand tour season, there's still a chance for some people to cut the lead down.

With 3 grand tours to come, 71 points is really nothing; I have plenty of time to crash & burn yet!
(Unless Clenbutador is cleared, of course, then the winner of all 3 is probably an easy pick...)

Well, it's kind of surprising, but the top 6 hasn't changed after the Giro! Richrd2205 still leads, although his lead has been cut slightly. 71 points before the Giro, 58 points after.

My PTP season is like Scarponi/Nibali's Giros - screwed right from the start. I got off to a shocker - 23 points from the first 5 races. Richard had nearly 200.

I've going to try to be a stage hunter from know on...

    Duly noted, TTHR.

Not much happened in the Eneco Tour, apart from Richrd2205 extending his lead by two points.

Getting towards the end of the season now. In terms of stage-races, there's just the Vuelta left... but with 6 one dayers (300 points!) to go, there's still a lot that could happen.

Pleased with that. I find the second half of the season harder as it's harder to predict who is in good shape and who is likely to be the protected riders.

Hamburg has had a big effect on the race for the title. Richrd2205 had the winner... rozzer32 was out of the placings. Result being, the lead is now out to 71 points. A hefty margin with the races running out quickly.

Been a busy weekend, what with the two Canadian races and the end of the Vuelta, but look, we have a new leader! Richrd2205 gives up a hefty lead of 71 points and now trails rozzer32 by 12 points. How things change.

Just 4 races to go now. Two in the Worlds, then Paris-Tours and Lombardy. Anyone in the top 14 could still theoretically win.

Has the PTP calendar changed? There are six races on the first page of this thread.

You have 40 points on 4th, so obviously you should gamble. Think of the spectators etc. I have no bias at all.

Oh yes...........pin the tail on the donkey time (mind you given my current form, that may as well be my PTP tactic anyway).

Yes, sorry, I forgot about the two women's WCh races. They're included too.

AFX - do you keep all the PTP spreadsheets on record?
