Pro Tour Pundit 2011
Hello and welcome to Pro Tour Pundit 2011 - the 6th annual edition of everyone's favourite pro cycling prediction game.
How To Play
Playing along with PTP is extremely simple - you don't have to sign up or join anything other than the Bikeradar forums. If you're already a member here, that means you're already eligible to play.
The rules of the game are simple too. A few days before each of the chosen races, a PTP thread will be started in the Pro Race forum. That thread will contain a selection of useful links - start lists, race maps, past winners and so on. All you have to do is consider who you think is likely to win and post their name in that thread. It's that simple. If the race in question is a stage-race, you also get to predict the daily stage winners.
As you play, your scores will be added up and the overall season rankings will be updated in this thread. Take a look below for the scoring system.
2010 Calendar
Same as last year.
Points System
Same as last year.
Doping
Points are finalised once the race organisations publishes their results. No adjustments will be made if it later emerges that a rider has failed a drugs test.
Prediction Cut-off
For most races, the generally accepted rule is that selections should be in before noon on the day of the race (exceptions made for split-stages, evening prologues etc).
Past Winners
That's all, have a lucky year and enjoy the racing!

I can't imagine that'll I'll stay up there very long either, inkyfingers... Not sure what I was taking in 2008, but have struggled to stay Top 20 since. Nice to be reminded of it every now and again, though!0

Given that my GC pick for Tirreno-Adriatico has now pulled out, I can't see me holding on much longer. Still, it's fun whilst it lasts!0 -
Yep, new leader after Tirreno, with PTP neophyte alanjay becoming the new leader. Snorebens moves up into second place.

Afx, quite weird that Tour Poland is included and Volta a Catalunya (100th edition) not, i haven't realised before. If you like Flandes, Roubaix or Eroica, you would like GP Canal de Castilla, www.gpcanaldecastilla.com0

The Tour of Poland pads out the back end of the season when not many other races are happening. Unfortunately, Catalunya always comes up against other races. Plus it doesn't have much coverage on TV, which is a shame.0 -
