hehe all of my drivers have been somewhere in the top 6 so far which is promising!

there already has been some arguing on my other compettition as some people think its unfair to be able to swap drivers on the £40M set up

i'm not fussed as I can never be arsed to swap drivers lol.

Same with fantasy football, last year 50% of my players were injured or not being picked

I'm running the £40M switchable one on "our" league and a £45M fixed on the other, more or less the same drivers, at the moment

i like how I can't see anyone elses drivers until the start of the race... bit pointless for the 45m people though!

I thought i had a great team at the begining of last year and i ended up almost bottom, with some shocking driver changes and not noticing i had somehow acquired Glock :shock: in my team :?:
To put this in to perspective, i picked my wifes team, she changed it a couple of times in the year, if she thought the driver had a nicer name and she beat me!

kubica "seriously injured" in a rally crash in italy, not what you want at anytime, but definitely not just before the season starts, hope he's ok

Kubica's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, but following surgery to his left arm in 2003 after crashing in a Formula 3 race, there will be some doubts about his ability to continue in the sport.

reminds me of when montoya did his shoulder riding an mx bike in '05 or '06, or webbers leg break season before last, ill be gutted if he cant continue, because i reckon he would be a real contender in a decent car, like the new renault is shaping upto be, if he cant race early on i imagine he'll be replaced by bruno senna if he's not fit for the opener in bahrain ... although the thought of a senna in a "lotus" is indeed very historic, he wont do anywhere near as well as kubica imo

Nice idea but the guy is only just about a second rate driver, I really hope Kubica is ok and will only miss a couple of races.

joined. i wanted to choose kubica(Poland FTW) but i just read he had a serious crash doing a rally so it's unknown if he is able to race the first round.

i also went for the 40m option and have 3 drivers

last thing i saw was kubica has a fractured left arm and leg so doubt hell be in bahrain.

renault lotus or lotus renault, whichever 1 hes driving for, they have said senna is lined up to replace.

Rumour has it Kubica's surgeon is considering amputating his left hand. (only found 1 report of this on t'web)

Even if that doesn't happen he's still going to be out of F1 for a good few months. Fractures to his left leg, left arm and left hand or so most reports are saying.

better news is the bahrain GP is looking unlikely owing to protests in the capital

the gp2 asia race was called off for this weekend for that reason, and bernie isnt gonna want this to happen at the proper race. hopefully wont have another bahrain precession

The Renault team have today confirmed that Nick Heidfeld will stand in as Robert Kubica's replacement for the upcoming season.

The team made it clear from the outset that they needed experience to help develop the car - and following Heidfelds impressive performance during testing must have made the appointment a straight forward decision.

Heidfeld is now available for selection at Fantasy Racers - with an initial price tag of 10.0m.
