Yeah I got it on in the end just some focus and yeah it wasn't too bad will post pics of full bike with new tyres after todays riding.

Yes I have the same bike as you, the Carrera Vengeance Ultimate. Managed to snag one at £287.99 over Xmas (Bargain!!).

Not used it yet as its a birthday present from my wife. Only 12 more days left!!

I have bought a Surface Limited Edition Charge Spoon saddle with matching grips, a Mucky Nutz bender fender 2.0 in black for the fork.

Off to Evans Cycles later at Gatwick to see about some a Crud mudguard set, some spd pedals and a pair of shoes.

I have a Garmin Edge 500 on my road bike which came with 2 mounting brackets, so I am going to use that on my Vengeance and have ordered another speed/cadence sensor for it as GPS alone for speed, especially under tree cover can be a little out.

Ah lucky well I just went out today to test the tires, and they are really impressive, so much faster than the old ones and look the dog's. Will get some pics taken tomorrow after I have cleaned it and when it's light

A good combo is a nic on the front and a ralph on the back as the ralph is very fast rolling and you get good grip up front with a nic

Did your front Crud catcher come wIth a rubber "crud" fitted to it? It's to stop it rubbing on the paint?

Got some from Evans today but it didn't come with one.

Are you finding the chain slaps quite a bit on the frame when doing xc?

I haven't noticed it if i'm honest, and there is a built in protector is there not? I have no damage around that area thankfully

How do you mean built in protector? A plastic stick on thing?

Chain slap happen up and down and makes a mess, cheapo option would be an old tube, but the wetsuit material ones reduce noise better.
