I hope this latest incarnation is difficult at least. The single player mode of the last one was easy (if I'm saying that, then it must be!) and multiplayer soon gets boring with all the snipers and cheaters...

Let us know what it's like, Matt!

    I certainly will :D

You don't really have to do that.

Can't you just go to bed at a normal time and then buy it tomorrow?

I'm sure you'd be much happier in a nice warm bed than queuing up outside a shop at midnight.

I was going to pre-order but the price tag put me off a bit. Going to wait a while and buy it second hand from someone who got bored of it. ;)

I just bought and resold Fallout New Vegas after playing the crap out of it. (39 years old here)

Seeing as I'm off work for the next 6-7 months (I'm having both knees replaced) I have pre-ordered this and after sending someone to collect it for me tomorrow I will spend the next couple of weeks getting my butt kicked online. Sad indeed for another 38 year old.

    My PS3 name is bubbazanetty

Named after a character from Mad Max although not the correct spelling as someone had already taken it.

We should form an online BikeRadar forum user Deathmatch team

Ordered it from Amazon, the shipped price was as good as, or better than the other sites.

Only played a handful of checkpoints of the fisst mission, so far........... it's SUPERB !!!! Unfortunately though, the Mrs has things to watch on TV :(

I don't think that the servers are switched on until midnight for on-line and Zombies.

PS3 name is MJC0605, and as much as I play it, I'm not the best out there :D :?

One of the reasons my wife divorced me was too much time on the PS3! But after I moved out I almost never played it. That showed her!
  • Well, mine is currently halfway through downloading from steam!
  • Ive had a copy since last week and have been playing the campaign for a few days. Its much better than MW2.

I have played a few multiplayer games tonight and it is quality.

XBox 36o gamer tag is AlienBFD
  • No supermarket deals this year so I will wait for my Tesco clubcard points to arrive and get it then although I am a bit obsessed with Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare right now.
    Giant Escape M1....
    Penny Farthing
    Unicycle
    The bike the Goodies rode
    Pogo Stick
Donkey on Roller skates.......OK I'm lying, but I am down to one bike right now and I feel bad about it,
  • I'm informed that some sad farkers were queueing outside ASDA for it's release at midnight!

How have you managed that, global release only started rolling out over thelast 24 hours?
  • Just hope its not another crappy console port with stupid hosted online gaming.

I think in MW2 for every hour attempting to play online I spent 20 mins playing and the other 40 lagging, dropping connection or just waiting.

    Dedicated servers are way better

    Is it better than BFBC2?

I dont expect it to be, I love BFBC2, and have plaid BF all the way back since 1942.

I do think it will be different, I view COD as more an arcade style game, where as BFBC2 is geared more towards teamwork.

Since 1942 !!??!! What console was that on then?

Love MW2 - and on 360 the servers were great well until this week were they were lagging a lot.

Just waiting on this one as Treyarch did COD:World at War and it sucked so seeing what everyone says about this - also with MW2 I walked into Sainsburys at 8am the day of release and picked it up for £30 rather than the £50 those on pre-order had got it for, hoping its the same this year.

Anyone hear 5live trying to have a debate about its release, pathetic. Some pacifist saying its too violent and encourages violence - some ex serviceman saying it was for immature idiots who dont know one end of machine gun to another, and finally to balance things out a couple of students making ill informed comments about how it hadnt done them any harm - quality journalism for our licence fee.
  • I wasn't going to bother yet but ordered it this morning from Tesco. £25 when you buy a £20 PSN card seems good because I'll use the card anyway. If it's anything like MW2 I'd be able to sell the game for more than £25 anytime before Christmas if I decided it wasn't worth keeping so I can't really lose.
My ID is smithmar01 if anyone wants to add me (PS3).

Well, I played until about 1am
    And it's superb !!!
Unfortunately, the work I needed to do last night didn't get done, so I've got a busy day now :(

Haven't had a go on line yet, just played a few campaign modes and did some of the combat training (online maps, but against AI)

Looks like there's split screen on-line multiplayer, which is nice as I'm off round to a mate's place tonight :D

Been sitting on the fence over this one, mostly because I can't decide whether to get it on PS3 or PC. Always favoured single player so tend to go PC for FPSs, but despite supposedly superior graphics I'm having no end of hardware problems at the moment, tempted to make life easier for meself and go console.

May as well wait till the weekend anyway cos I've no free time till then. Oh, and I'm only 35 so have no intention of fraternising with you old bastards anyway :P
