Used to use finishline wet, but got sick of cleaning my chainset. good stuff but messy.
was intrigued by this, sounded good as ive been using finish line dry over the past few months, just started using the fl wet lube again, and end up with a shi7 up chain every ride,
but then noticed this in a review,
"Incredible stuff - does what it says regarding a clean ride. Obviously not suitable for wet, muddy conditions but on dry rides it keeps the chain cleaner than any other product I've used. Still go back to the Finish Line wet lube in the Winter though but this stuff is ideal in the Summer months."0 -

i using that at the moment but tbh im getting sick of wet lube and the 2 stone of gunk that it collects
yes im using it sparingly
i basically just show the chain the botle now and still get the same results, gonna go dry at the wettest time of the year :?
I lube mine the night before a ride and then that morning run the chain through a cloth a few times to get all the oil off the outside and then it doesn't get too gunky.0 -

pedros or muc off wet lube (which ever one is closer to hand) at the moment
in the summery times, muc off dry lube (i got the muc off for free, its pretty good tbh)0 -
One more for Finish line wet lube, I did get some Fenwicks wet lube a few weeks back but it was crap, 10 km in the rain and all washed off, 20 km in the dry and all chain dried out, so it's finish line for me for now, if it aint broke don't fix it.0

Another vote for Prolink Gold - for road or MTB
I like the Finish Line XC when it's filthy but it attracts so much mud I only use it when it's monsoon outside. I'm sure 3in1 is just as good though.1998 Chas Roberts Compact Racing 531 "The Iron Lady" | 2010 Felt F4 | 2007 Santa Cruz Heckler0 -
White Lightning Epic Ride or Nut Lube, depending on what kind of mood I'm in.
Although for some reason, Epic Ride seems to perform better in the conditions we had on the Island in Summer.
About to start using the 2nd half of bottle of Nut Lube for winter riding. Then I can give a proper, comprehensive review to the manufacturer0 -

ProGold Prolink Chain Lube - cleans and lubes at the same time, bit pricey but awesome stuff.

I use Husqvarna chainsaw oil. Its incredibly viscous anti fling stuff and I have loads of it at work. When I pour it from the bottle to the oil can it takes ages for the drip to break off it forms a very long thin trail.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chainsaw#MaintenanceIn addition to being quite thick, chain oil is particularly sticky (due to "tackifier" additives) to reduce the amount thrown off the chain.Mountain: Orange Patriot FR, SubZero & Evo2LE.

Do people degrease chain every ride?0

Rock N Roll Extreme, its quite cheap if you buy the 16oz bottle and it both cleans and lubricates. Brilliant stuff, highly recommended.0

degrease after every ride?!?!?!? flip no.... im honestly not saying this just because i own the company, and its not just marketing crap... With Nut Lube i apply every, perhaps 3 weeks... and when the chain looks a bit dirty i just give it a wipe down.... it doesn't need reapplying until the chain feels dry, or if it gets REALLY dirty and you clean the chain while cleaning the rest of the bike.I like bikes and stuff0

do you make nutlube?
YEP!
For all interested, we'r pretty hectic at the mo, getting al the stuff sorted before launch, so we hope to have it for sale by early spring some time!
unfortunately if you want some before then, tough it.
the only way is to be a personal friend, or one of my 5, already selected testers. sorry.I like bikes and stuff0 -
That's a long time. You manufacturing yourself or buying in?
Is it a mineral oil?0 -

Buying in and selling on would be a bit cheeky!
Its something im manufacturing myself, it uses a natural base oil, and a few other (mostly natural) ingredients, its more than just a simple oil, so getting the formula right has taken a while, and now there is loads to do before we can launch, as its not my job, just something im doing in my spare time (for now) its taking a while to sort out, its surprising how much has to be done, its more than just putting some in a bottle and slapping a sticker on.
Ill be sure to let ya'll know when its for sale!I like bikes and stuff0 -
Look forward to it, you probably saw from my survey post I'm looking at formulating a bike cleaner. Good luck!0

If it's dry and your on the road you can go a week or so, but if its rubbish weather and your cycling through sand then yes I would degrease after each ride.
I got into trouble last week for cleaning the chain in the dishwasher, did look good though, probably not great for the chain but just wanted to give it a try0 -

are you mad?! i hate degreasing, one of my main reasons for choosing squirt. if only i could buy chains that didn't come pregreased i would never have to degrease again!FCN 9 - 2008 Kona Cinder Cone

too true! degreasing is a pain.... Squirt is cool for that... Nut Lube is similar.. once it feels dry, if its fairly clean already, you can just top up, or give it a quick brush with some soapy water when you clean the rest of the bike.I like bikes and stuff0 -

Used squirt - liked it but then did a 80km enduro with a few stream crossings and by the end my chain sounded like I was on a tank.Don't think, BE:0 -

Me, 15wt hydraulic oil.
I just lube everything with this thing.
And WD40 for when it's all dirty and greasy.0
