Which regular on here has top racing bragging rights?

Am I allowed to ask that, or is it the sort of thing that leads to thermonuclear internet warfare?

Obviously not counting a certain irregular poster who has the bragging rights to exceed all, and the t-shirt to prove it....

I’ve come first in a club TT on handicap, and have come 11th in a 4th cat road race.

Not me. I've never entered a race and never will.

    Because that's how I roll.

I was club junior road race champion after all my clubmates went out the night before the race and got food poisoning

I agree though, it would be worth knowing the palmares of some of our contributors. I've certainly read a few posts that hint at fairly good cycling careers.
  • My only claim to fame is that I beat a couple of world champions in a race. Very old world champions, I should add (I really was rubbish at racing)!

My best win was probably the Tour de Mont Aigoual, ahead of Dutchman Tim Krabbé, Reilhan and the guy in the Cycles Goff jersey.

I haven't won a race yet - (I have medial knee arthritis in my right knee (and varus malalignment) from a serious knee injury 7 years ago) - hardly bragging rights but I got beat handily by Clancy, Downing, Hales and others in one particular race last year - I do the best I can with the disabilty I've got, and am happy with that :D

What ever became of the guy in the Cycles Goff jersey?

I'm planning to do some Surrey League handicap road racing next year...can't imagine it being anything other than totally embarrassing though.

In the spirit of conker rules (my oner beats your fiver, my oner becomes a sixer) I'm going to imagine I beat you in a sprint and therefore proclaim myself the best sprinter EVER in the entire history of imaginary racing. Furthermore, you should be thoroughly ashamed of your performance, as I was riding a city bike and towing a trailer with my 7 year old lad in it.

Jesus, can't you guys learn to use 'SPOILER' in the title? I was looking forward to reading that tonight, now it's ruined!

Won a few top quality races in Pro Cycling Manager does that count to ones palmares ?..........if it doesnt then just have to be my Lands End to John O Groats record of most consumed pints of Stella in one trip .

I took part in a 'Tour De French Camp Site' with my 5 year old and my 4 year old in the summer. My son was yellow jersey winner, my daughter was queen of the mountains and I took the green jersey. Well chuffed!

Isn't Pokerface a record holder and future paralympian (apologies if wrong PF)?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

You cycled the length of the country, through all those fabulously varied local beers, and drank Stella?

I've beaten Frank Bruno a couple of times... in the Great South run. I've also overtaken Thrust SSC, but it was on the back of a low-loader going up the A404M. But none of that can compare with the pewter-esque trophy from the Schwarzbuebe-Rundfahrt 2008 which holds pride of place on my book shelf.
