HA! The next time someone bags me out for wearing arm warmers over my sleeves, I'm whipping out this picture! If only he had his scarf on too.

Is there some kind of drugs things going on, by the way?

  • Contador further alleged that the meat he ingested came from "an animal that did not receive any veterinary control whatsoever".

Wow. It's seems Contador knows a lot about the beef his mate bought for him. Where did this spring from?

The article states that "In 2010, the authorities carried out 14,179 controls, and there was not one positive case for Clenbuterol."

I believe the article is just saying the beef that Contador ate was not from a cow that was one of the tested ones.

There are significantly more cattle in Spain than those that are tested as testing is just done on a small proportion of the overall number.

Maybe, but a +ve rate of 0% in tests suggests that his defense looks a bit statistically unlikely...

So, Contador was able to trace the meat? This is news to me at least.

I think Bertie is just saying 'there was clen in my meat, but 0% positives in the cow tests therefore my cow can't have been tested'

    Rather a circular argument.

Hey, he's not dead, he's very much alive and the scourge of fans of clean sport everywhere!

I wonder what Saxo Bank and Specialized think of the association. Not that any of it matters, because God (aka Bjarne) thinks he's innocent so everything is fine and dandy and the team will go to the Tour etc.

    Still digging, then.

What needs to change is attitudes in the peloton and those administering the sport (particularly the UCI and RFEC).

  • I am finished with cycling as a sport which has now proved that you can get away with anything as long as you are famous (as opposed to infamous). I hope everyone in this years tour will dope up to their eyebrows, it's OK, the authorities don't care.

I will not be watching the tour again or any other protour race.

I disagree. You can't stop watching. You like compalining too much and without the Pro Tour what would you have to b*tch about. Anyway, like I said in another post, it's sort of like watching a train wreck, you can't take your eyes off it.
