so apple have announced the new ipod touch. amongst others.

It does all the stuff the old one did - music, apps, net browser etc.
but now you can send messages on it and make video calls.
so all i have to do is cellotape my new little sony ericsson to the back of it to take care of calls and i have that iphone i wanted!

Apple is the biggest load of crock ever.
I'm gonna make an ipod big, sell it for 500 and call it the Ipad. I'm gonna create a "new" iphone, but this one now can support some random app that noone needs, and sell it for even more than the old one. The old ones then become "useless" in the eyes of everyone.

Macs are PCs. PC stands for Personal Computer. There was an argument that only IBM compatible machines could be called PCs, which the PPC Macs weren't, but since they switched to Intel processors, they are IBM compatible, and so are PCs.

Love or hate Apple, they do have a clue!
A few months back many Forum Members here were slating the iPad as being a waste of time, money and forecasting Android and LINUX to beat Apple with competing products. I recall someone saying ASUS' eeePC would take the iPad to town..
Well the bottom line is that the iPad has sold by the million and continues to do so.
I took my first trip ever into an Apple Store over the weekend as was astounded to see how many people were buying iPads.
The Register reported 2 weeks back that ASUS reported a 12% drop in eeePC sales and they themselves attribute this to the iPad. No I'd never buy an iPad for myself, I have no use for one.
So.. there's one Forum trolling session proved wrong
Apple is a success story, a few years back they were on the verge of bankruptcy, look at them now?
Sure their kit is expensive, ask me as I bought myself a MacBook Pro 13 inch Unibody a few months back and OMG they cost! But what a great piece of kit and I don't undergo massive updates every Tuesday. Since May I've done 3 updates and only one was a security patch (last night in fact) the other were app updates and an NVIDIA graphics driver update.
Admittedly Apple is bling, however it's bling that offers functionality and some people will pay for that.
Love Apple or hate Apple, they make aesthetically pleasing, functional and overly expensive equipment and some people love it and will pay for it..
A little like BMW 335D Tourers, Bentley Sports cars, Range Rover Sports and Mercedes S Class

You can say that again. Apple is one of the biggest bandwagons in the world.
I can't count how many peolpe i've come across who turn away better phones or mp2 players, that are half the price, because it doesn't have an i before it's name. So many won't buy any other phones because the "iphone" is the bets, even though another phone does more things and is much cheaper and just as stylish, and costs less per month to run. They wont buy it because its not called iphone. What a load of bullocks.0 -
