I always calculate the frame size by looking at headtube length, and then making sure the reach is about right on the frame with the correct headtube length.

I Just spoken to the manufacturer in Germany because I was considering buying the CF SLX.

I was told that what's left on the site is all they have and they'll not be restocking the current model.

The new range is supposed to be presented in September. but it will be longer until you can buy them.

(canyon doesn't have internal routing for cables anyway, which I would prefer  )

    That is all.

Bike looks great Timo, should have mine in about 2 weeks. I went for a Ultimate CF in Team White (didnt have the Evo in my size) that is going to replace my Planet X SL. Mine is also getting fitted out with full 6700 Ultegra inc 6700 wheels.

Whats the Ritchey seatpost like ? Is it as good as they say ?

Nice bike. On my 'maybe' hit list but tempted to wait for the 2011 range now...

The ride is comfortable. I just don't know, how much of the comfort comes from the seatpost and how much from the frame. What matters, is that the combination works very well.

  • Is there absolutely no way of test riding a Canyon bike in the UK?

Just done my sizing for the Canyon and I'm being told I need a 54cm although I have always ridden 56cm.

Currently on a Focus cayo 56cm with 100mm stem. Perfect for me no niggles at all.

I'm 180cm tall (5'10" old money) inseam of 83cm, 63cm arm length and 72kg weight.

Advice from other who have bought from Canyon needed!

The top tubes of 56cm Canyon and Focus seem to be of about the same length. If you like your current frame, 56cm Canyon can't be too much off. The head tube is a bit taller in Canyon.

I'd say that the 54cm Canyon would be a tad too short for you, at least with the default stem which is 90mm. Of course, if you want a bit lower riding position, then 54cm might be ok, with a 110 or 120mm stem.

  • Apparently Canyon will have a UK distributor 'before the end of the year'...
