    Obviously, only cobble novices ride in the gutters. :D

    If I remember rightly (and heard correctly :wink: ) in his commentary yesterday Kelly said that you should ride on the crown if you can but as you get increasingly tired the gutter draws you in like a magnet.

    Also, in that photo the cobbles are wet (and so much more treacherous), so it's not really a fair comparison.

    Or if you're desperate to make up a gap and will trade bigger puncture risk for a bit more speed...
