Factory only a couple of hours away, probably had a yellow one ready to go (most manufacturers prep some up in advance, was a good article on CN about it last year)"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

When a rider has two or more jerseys, theyy get to pick which one they want to wear and the 2nd place rider for the other jersey(s) wear those.
So since chavanel leads both GC (which wears yellow) and the points competition( green) he technically has both jerseys but is only allowed to wear one in the race so he chose yellow. Technically he could have chosen green but I don't know if anyone's ever chosen polka dot or green over yellow. Does anyone know?0 -

I don't think he gets to choose. I think there's an established hierarchy - Yellow, Green, Dots, WhiteTwitter: @RichN950 -
BTW, they just showed an interview with Hincapie and it sounded like this is NOT his last year anymore. He said he still feels like he loves cycling and can give it his all and he won't stop until that's no longer the case.0

I used to like the combine jersey.
Not sure I'd like a Merckx combine paint job though.0 -
Reckon the nerves and the run-in to the pavé sections could well cause more grief than the actual cobbles themselves.

Don't know if anyone saw that crash but what's weird is that while the whole crash happened on the left of the road, someone on the right, not near anyone somehow reacted to the crash, wasn't paying attention and went flying into the grass!0

Easy enough. Frames will ready with an undercoat and the factory can't be that far away. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -
If i hear Tyler Farrar telling me he's Tyler Farrar one more time...! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

From now until the finish...
44km to go - Secteur pavé d'Hollain (1 200 m)
40 km - Secteur pavé de Rongy (700 m)
27.5 km - Secteur pavé de Sars-et-Rosières (2 400 m)
24.5 km - Secteur pavé de Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes (2 500 m)
18 km - Secteur pavé de Wandignies-Hamage (3 700 m)
10 km - Secteur pavé d'Haveluy (2 300 m)0 -
I really hope a GC team or two goes hammer down, totally a bloc. No messing around here, the weaker climbers need to go on the offensive. Contador will destroy them otherwise if he comes out unscathed.Contador is the Greatest0

Those last two are going to do damage not just because they're so long but everyone's going to be worn out.0
