One of the buildings that i have to go to used to be a car body repair centre, i'm not one to take much notice of whats in skips, i have walked past this particular one for approx 3 months without looking inside, and as luck would have it last week i saw this, today i got it out :D76c993cc.jpg
4 bike holders and the bases to fit on my roof rails! get in!
the only thing is i dont have the tool to undo the base clamp things, its like a bolt but multi edged (not torx, outside edges) are they the same on other peoples? can you get these seperatly?
Shame i only have the one bike at the moment

Did you not think they may be in a skip for a reason?

Let's hope you don't find out why at 70mph on a motorway...

    Nowt wrong with single pivots.
However, I'm glad to see the Orange obsessive has died down. I seem to remember last year if you so much as hinted at liking anything other than an Orange 5, all you got was an army of Orange zombies.

I like Fives, they're great bikes. But I'll never again be able to look at the swingarm without thinking about skips.

the 5 is actually made of old skips... its why all the skip company's in the Halifax area have been going out of buisness.

they weigh about the same anyway...

  • Why would you buy an Orange 5 when you can own one of these for £200 less than the pro??!!

Technically, that's a single pivot too.
  • Apart from the fact it's got four pivots?

    No.

Gippo's make far too much cash from tarmacking, painting barns, collecting scrap and stealing to bother scavenging through skips.

The wheel is basically on a single pivot swingarm, isn't it?
Same basic setup as a Kona (or in a slightly more contrived similarity, Commencal meta).
Single pivot swingarm with a linkage driven shock.
  • A linkage driven shock that floats on the end of the chainstay.

Also the ABP causes the linkage to be driven slightly differently to linkage driven single pivot.

But it IS a linkage driven shock on a single pivot swingarm. There are no pivots betwixt wheel axle and main pivot.
