Little bit of bling:

it is one seriously good looking bike, really like the look of those yumeya cablesI assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.0

Well pleased to report i am super impressed with the Push tuned rear shock. Its superb and has really improved the feel of the bike.
Having to pick a new saddle as after a superman moment on it last week i have bent the rails, its not that noticeable but i know they are bent so it needs replacing.
Also i have decided to try a dropper seat post on it. Hopefully i will have my chosen post early next week.0 -
New seat to replace the bent gobi:
Rock Shox Reverb ordered from the USA now. Not waiting 2 more months to get one from over here in the UK
Looking at buying a new sram X0 gear setup, might wait till this X0 is falling to pieces and needs replacing though, and also dropping to a 140mm rear rotor.0 -
Reverb will be dispatched tomorrow, should be with me middle to the end of the week0
-
Trial run to see how i get on with a double before committing to buy either a 2x10 or 3x10 groupset:
Giving it a run out tonight to see how it goes.
Think tomorrow i will strip it down and give it a good clean ready for winter. The BB felt a bit notchy earlier when i had the crank off so i might need some new bearings for it.0 -
Reverb has arrived:
In the box you get, bleed kit, oil, zipties, cable guide and some instructions:
Weighed it:
Weighed the new Gobi carbon:
All fitted:
Initial impressions of it are as follows.
Good:
Well made,
Fast smooth action,
Nice adjustable head on the seatpost,
Very simple to bleed.
Bad:
Torque settings for the seat clamp are wrong as it was gripping it to tight even at the lower recommended setting causing it to not return to full length,
Needed bleeding even straight out of the box,
Cable could be made from a better more conforming material IMHO,
Very very slight play if i am super critical.0 -
all adjustable seat posts have a bit of play in them, there's not much you can do about it. that looks fantastic though.0
-
Will be declaring this finished on Thursday when the final parts of the puzzle arrive and i can fit them. Cannot wait0
-
looks fantastic. like this bike alot
what do you think of those formula the one brakes? i found a 09 brakeset from formula for about £200 and i can't decide if i should buy them for my future scott voltage fr build or if i should just use my elixir 5s.hmm....0 -
Thats amazing!!! The One's are supposed to be incredible, Jay.I like bikes and stuff0
-
I have got the MY10 The Ones on my bike and they are amazing. Not sure what the 09's are like, might be worth asking on the mtbr forums.0

Got almost all the final parts to finish the puzzle now. Just waiting on a new bottom bracket then I can finish the build once and for all.
Here is todays parts installment starting with the drivetrain first:
One X0 double 2011 chainset:
X0 2011 2x10 derailleur's:
Sram XX shifters:
KMC X10SL chain and Sram XX 11-36 cassette:
Finally a Thomson 70mm 0 degree rise stem as new bought off ebay quite cheap:
I must say the XX Cassette is a work of art, so light and the machining is amazing.0 -
*dribble*
Very nice indeed.0 -
you sir, have far too much money :P
but still, that will look very nice0 -
I envy your pockets! I wish I could smash the wallet out like that as well, but i'm too poor. Will have to save for a bit though.0
-
very nice bike mate0

Thanks everyone, I cannot wait to get her all built up now with the XX and 2011 X0. Thinking i will do it on Sunday after a good strip down and clean.
Really feeling the 2x9 setup i have on now, seems to suit my riding style a lot more as i am not a fan of really spinning away in granny but as it was there i always used to be idle and drop into it . Now its a case of you cannot use what you have not got and you know what, i dont miss it!0
