Lovkvist did well to limit his losses and can put in a half decent TT.

You can see why. LLL or LA could win this overall unless Gesink does a Sterling TT

Why would Gesink need a sterling TT? He's a pretty good TT rider and has almost a minute on Armstrong.

Like a redux of the Indurain days - cling on in the mountains and smoke them in the TT...
That's funny I always saw MIG setting the mountain pace with a sh*t like Riis hanging on.
Other tail end charlies that nip round for a stage win are Le Blanc and Rominger.
That was Migs failing that he never collected enough MTF wins because he had what he wanted - Time and didn't contest the MTF finish.
Cling on, Can't climb is a Myth.
Have a look at the Italians attacking him anywhere in the Giro (The real Racing Tour) and one by one they thought they had him as they took turns to drop him as he had no team support.
Start, stop, start and they had to cling on when he bridged the gaps every time and then rode tempo until the next attack and they wouldn't let him settle to a steady tempo. MYTH.
That's why I'm a fan because the man could Road Race and Olano won the World Championship with a soft rear tyre because Mig rode shotgun on the selection riders.

I've been out all day. So how did Chinny fare on the stage that was tailor made for him?

    92nd, nearly 23 minutes down.

He should pull it back in the TT.

Man, the organisers really do need to stop designing the course for Big Fab.

Well I've been amused at all the detrimental postings about a course made for Sparticus when I knew what the Albulapass is all about. (isn't it the one that Tonkov destoyed Zule one year)
I didn't shoot my mouth off in case there really was some juice available.
Interesting that pharmstrong was there at the finish and poor little Levi now has a tick in his box, - must do better on the climbs, or else.

Agree. Some food chain clarification today, enough, not too much.

Bet one of the mechanics is getting a roasting for not charging the batteries??

i had to laugh at the commentators when they were watching Tony Martin on the last climb and they said he told his team mates to leave him as he was struggling, he finished over 2 minutes in front of any other htc rider, that must have been some struggle!
    who cares?

I see Kloden's pack horse form has suddenly materialised.
    Sterilisation Shack.[/quote

I always thought that was one of a domestiques roles then to pull for his leader when and if required as it was yesterday..............so is it Sterilization Liquigas when Smyzd does it or Sterilazation Saxo Bank when Soresnson does it ? ...........or is a case of great domestique duty as long as its not RS then usual wisdom goes out of the window ?

I actually see Liquigas as the biggest threat to the likes of Contador and Schleck.
Uber strong team, but Basso is like Lance: lacking that acceleration.
If only Kloden has the pulling form, Lance can utilize Smyzd and his leaders to claw back and stiffle any aggression.

Certainly effective domestique work of the highest order, but not particularly appealing to watch, for the neutral.
