    totally agree, the most iconic bike ever built for and riden by the best road racer ever.
    seen interview of eddy merckx when asked about his favourite bike and he said it was this one.

    That bling bike isn't just about Russian football club owners who have got 4 storey garages to fill with crap they'll never look at, or Larry Ellison's christmas present to himself because everybody hates him because he'd prefer to buy himself a gold bike than feed 10,000 kids, oh no. Diamond is just another alllatrope of carbon, and gold is actually lighter than lead, so.... erm.... nice Raleigh burner!! :shock:

    I was going to buy one of those but top tube tube was just a bit too short and I couldn't find any matching mudguards.

    I can't understand what is wrong with asking who has the most expensive bike, it's actually interesting to see how much someone is willing to spend. Don't see how it is a bout of snobbery and showing off :S You'd have to be quite miserable to take it that way.

    Again another example of people moaning about a post because they dont like the content. I didnt know you lot owned the forum! Another reason why this forum is just as poor as the rest, ruined by the same few users who think they're the men about the place.

    some people have nice houses or go on holiday a few times a year,buy nice new cars
    it all depends what you want to do with your time and money.its just as you get older you have more to spend on trying to be young again!when i was in my teens i used to look at older cyclists on the latest gear and think what a waste noe i know why they could have them its all about choices
