Well Denifil held on admirably. Shame he couldn't get the win.

OK. So he smashes a 50km TT then on a long summit finish is able to cover all wheels, seated without breaking a sweat then sprint in fron\t of the group. Yeah right.

I hope Contador totals him on the Alpe.

Really pleased to see Sicard 2nd. Talent.

Didn't see Millar come through, who I would have thought could climb better than Janez.

Uhhh, no, I'd say he was the Jani was the better climber every time.

Think I may need to get on a good "programme" to save my PTP season!

Brajkovic won the Tour de Georgia three years ago. You know, a week long race with a time trial and a stonking great mountain top finish. He's basically been on bottle duty ever since. Given a chance this week, he takes it. Not sure why anyone is surprised.

Back on the twitter tip, Phil Ligget is like David Walsh about Lance / RSH compared to John Wilcockson.

Don't forget the ride Jani did in the 2006 Vuelta, gaining the gold jersey, before then fading away after a week or so.

What was the opposition? A couple of GC riders in training mode and some decent second row climbers? Vogondy is OK within France, but hardly of world leading level - still able to ride away.

Well, he rides for the Shack and is going well so is obviously dodgy.

That's all very well but then let's not forget the past of darling pistolero...

    Ooor...

Forget the past of everyone and enjoy the riding as it is, rather than sneering at everything you see.

Radioshack in danger of having a decent season, just not the right people winning!

Yes, but it's not like you've never sneered at other performances is it? Mm?

No one in the World can match Contador's accelerations. Sure they might come back to him eventually but the initital burst is devastating. Janez didn't lose anything when he went, while it took the others more times the first time Contador went.

I guess I will summarize that Contador was going easy then.

No, it's not. I distinctly recall sneering at Ricco's performance 2 years ago when he sprang away from everyone like a scalded cat. That's up to me, innit?

Or he's still a couple kilos over. Which would make sense.
