Terribly lit shot took in a rush. All done, except i cut the gear cable too short and i can't turn corners more than a 25º angle, ah well, meant to be a crit bike anyway.

Think the orange tape looks alright now, got a new toupe saddle today and intend to paint the silver front and back pieces orange somehow, cheaper than a custom Fizik!

More pics in the morning with a proper camera.

broke my toupe (saddle). Had a quiet moment with it, remembered all the good times (and bad) then chucked it in the shed

That's the funniest thing I've read all day!

Took it out today, did 40 odd miles over a hilly route.

First thing that struck me was the 'directness'. It's all about the headtube on this bike, it's like the whole bike revolves around it. It's loads more direct and turns in quicker than my carbon race bike. Feels like there's no slack in it at all, it just gets on with the job.

I'd use words like 'zingy' and 'pointy' to describe its characteristics. Doesn't beat you up though. Not in the backside anyway. The bars buzzed a bit more than my carbon bike. I only have some cheap alu spesh bars on it so first upgrade will probably be carbon bars.

Weighed it when I got back just out of interest, just under 18lbs with no light kit on at all. It hides it's weight well. Am thinking of racing it at Tameside on Tuesday.

    Better pic here:
