Think I've managed to locate one from the us after an ebay search, also got my LBS on the case. I've heard that the 1 1/4" size is getting more popular, mad that there's only 1 or choices currently though. Doesn't put me off, I don't think I'll mess with the set up once it's built.0

That's the thing, if you can compare measurements from your current bikes then it should only take 1 change of the stem if you can't get the right size in the first place.
I've spent flippin hours analysing measurements from my current bike (57cm) to decide whether to go for 58 or 56cm Canyon. Stem and seatpost clamp position on saddle rails included. I hope, really hope i've got it right.0 -
Glad I went for the 58, even though it's slightly shorter in most areas than my 58 specialized. If in doubt, always go smaller.0

UPDATE!
Just spoke to Canyon, they're sending me a 120mm stem and I send back the 90mm. Cost 20EUR.
Not too bad in my opinion.0 -

Quick update.
Stripped the Specialized of all it's bits, wrestled with the seized seatpost, broke my toupe (saddle). Had a quiet moment with it, remembered all the good times (and bad) then chucked it in the shed.
Started to build the Canyon
Then went to the LBS and got cables, plus they talked me into orange bar tape (a mistake????)
Just waiting for the stem and a front derrailleur now, soon be rollin'0 -
The orange will look good with those little orange logos, supernice frame too, forks look a bit too skinny for it though.And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Yeah the forks are just slightly undersized for the massive headtube. Bit of a Canyon tradition.
Any ideas for saddles, with a hint of orange???

Does the steerer come 'pre cut' so to speak. Basically does it come at a reasonable length which means your less likely to need it cut?0 -

Re. Steerer. It comes cut, with stem installed and a few spacers underneath so won't need to cut it even if new stem is slightly taller or shorter.0
