    Excellent. Thanks.

Sorry for being an A/V purist bore. I've had Sky HD for so long my HD box is on it's last legs.

Phone up Sky and ask how much notice you need to give before you can cancel because you want to switch to Virgin. Free box before you know it 8)

They've offered me a 1TB box cheap already.

Need one before the Tour, coz recording live (real) HD of stages chews up disk space

This coverage is awful. Done on the cheap. No start ramp, no helicopter.
    Bertie pulling a Lance.

Soler must have had a bad crash to lose so much time. That's him eliminated, by a country mile.
Which begs the question: If he's that hurt, why carry on when you've got no chance to make the cut? :?

Sometimes they look the other way if someone falls. But in a long tt? In order to get them to take pity on him for going that slow then i'd have thought he would have to be too injured to start tomorrow?

Is this where we start talking about how a 58 kilogram climber can win a 50 km TT?

Cataldo had a nasty crash... ouch.

    Looks worse in HD! :)

Does anyone want to say it for me?

Magic, just because you are watching on ES HD, that does not mean the Dauphiné is being broadcast in HD. Even if the picture is better than SD, which indeed it is.

    How was that?

    Erm, what!?!

Ah, but he's always been good.

    That's the right counter-argument, isn't it?

This is not HD, it's a standard definition picture that is being upscaled. But never mind, it's only geeks like Iain who care about stuff like that

3 people picked him for PTP, so it must be.

He did a good one in the Vuelta a few years ago I think.

A huge speedbump 10m from the finish. That is quite dodgy.

So what we can summarise from today. If a rider is going well, it's possibly dodgy. If a rider isn't going well, it's possibly dodgy.

    Sweet.

6th place for Contador, at least that's 1pt for PTP

    1.46 down though, that's a lot.

And I mentioned him earlier, Gretsch finished in the top-10

Dennis Menchov takes 50 seconds from Contador in the ITT.
Yep, you can read so much into today's result.

Brajkovic has this race in the bag.
