Top Man indie... Y'know Razorlight, The Kooks all that bland, samey Libertines inspired dross.

My daughter has a craft toy called 'Bendaroos'. Every time I see or pick a Bendaroo up off the floor (daily), the 'Vindaloo' song comes into my head. Drives me mad....hate it!

+1 to DG - why even bother doing indie music if you aren't going to be a bit original and creative?

Although how you missed Fratellis off that list is a bit of a mystery. Maybe your mind had somehow managed to erase all memories of their exstence. I wish mine would.

I would include the Fratellis.. And the Libertines, my list were merely examples of the genre. I would include (but not exclusively) Kasabian, the Pigeon Detectives and all that toss.

Don't mind Kasabian though. Well, I've got one of their albums anyway, it isn't too bad IMHO.

Any group which adopts the style of a proper band and then churns out mindless corporate rubbish which sounds like it was written by the marketing department.

Any 'coffee table' pop - Dido springs to mind instantly.

All that maudlin 'indy' pop stuff - Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Travis etc.

    Depresses me somewhat.

Oh, and The Verve. I freakin' HATE The Verve.

I just don't really get Snowpatrol - they're soooo boring - but I do like Muse - think their stuff is great.

However, if Scouting for Girls come on the radio I have to leap over to slap at the dial to turn off/over...

    ... I just f%$&ing can't stand SfG! - especially that ...She's so luv-er-ley....She's so luv-er-ley ...She's so luv--ley .....AAARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!

any singer who overuses the vocoder or pitch correction autotune software to try and mask the fact they can't sing anyway with really dismal hip-hop beats that even hip-hop fans think sound s**t

but as with many other 'cheap' adverts, - window frames 'buy one get one free', car insurance 'go compare' etc would you buy the product? know i would'nt

also would'nt exactly call it music, but anything i hear on radio by oasis prompts my hand to seek the off button asap.

Mercy by Duffy does my head in, so overplayed when it came out and one of those songs that attracts annoying women onto the dance floor like a latter day Simply The Best.

Things Can Only Get Better - was crap anyway before that night in 97!

Most stuff that gets played on level 11 in a Saxo / Corsa i.e. any kind of "urban" music or stuff that belongs in a nightclub.
