Ditched the idea of getting some RF bars, the Truvativ Tungsten WCs that I have are new, were not cheap and theres nowt wrong with them. So they are staying.

Next on list - Mavic CrossLines ;)

Chains very tarty indeed! Not 100% sure about it but if the inner tart means you need to match the Marin, then that's reason enough!

    Needs gold jockey wheels

IME the best chains money can buy for performance/longevity and more importantly they look cool

Just preparing my ad to sell current wheels so I can by the rear crossline (doesnt seem right to sell a pair to pay for one wheel LOL)

ah...i thought they were dt swiss ex500 or 5.1 rims. and the rear hub won't fit. it's a bargain though
  • 10mm bolt through will fit standard dropouts jay ;)

hmm... wel i dunno if they would take the abuse of 4x, jumps,dh, fr. and i'm no pro and do case a fair bit of jumps
  • They are plenty strong.. just checked and the hubs alone are £240 on CRC

They would cost around £330 a pair to buy - I just dont think they 'go' with the BFe (yes I am strange like that  )

OOOOh, those wheels are mighty tempting! although i have no real need for new, and if i do get £150 spare cash its going on an MMMBop.
    I like bikes and stuff

Good shout - TBH they should sell themselves at that price. Im 14 stone and fancy something a bit 'beefier' rim wise.
  • Some more 'upgrades'

Wellgo V12 Mags (originally for the Cannondale, however they are so nicely made/look good they went on this - double bonus that they compliment the Gravity cranks!! 8)

    img00041201008070931.jpg

And for the inner-tart in me, some gold KCNC Presta caps....

    img00043201008070931.jpg

The rear end and new KMX X9 Gold and Ti chain....

    img00047201008070933.jpg

    And finished (for now) ...
    img00046201008070932.jpg

A couple of things I am considering:

    New SAINT rear mech.

New wheels, I keep changing my mind about this, like the look of the Mavic Crossline, however they are not an 'upgrade'... but if I can get the £150 I am asking for these (bargain!!) I shall get some.
  • Have you been out on it since you got the Joplin? I've had a quick go on mine in the house, and I can't wait to get out and give it a proper try.

    Looking good!
    Needs more SRAM though

Only round the block, so not an effective test....

Will defo get the remote kit though!!

I cant believe how cheap we got these!!!!
  • I cant believe how cheap we got these!!!!

    Tell me about it!

Shame they'd run out of remote kits at the time. I did order (and pay for) one, but then they emailed me to tell me it was out of stock. Tried looking elsewhere, but everywhere else that sells them is a good £6-7 more expensive. I know it's not a lot, but I'm in no massive rush. CRC said they'll have them back in within 3 weeks, I can wait that long.

I now see what people were saying about the small amount of play out of the box, but sat on the bike, I couldn't really notice it, and that was on my flat kitchen tiles, I cant see me noticing it off-road.
