    I was debating how far back to go in my bike-owning history since you only want stats for how 'real' mountain bikers' frames behave.

    Then again, the Raleigh Mustang that I had when I was about 10 may never have seen any mountains, but it got abused a hell of a lot...

    I snaped my 04 Heckler mainframe. There was an issue with some frames where a crack would apear at the pivot. Mine devoloped after 2 years of riding (10kmiles) and completly sheered with no warning at all. Thank goodness for the SC crash replacement scheme.

    1 x bombproof trek 6500.
    1 15 mth old Boardman FS Pro with cracking around crossbar/seat tube weld. Not technically a broken frame but would be if I rode it again. XC riding only and no dings!

    I snapped a raleigh montage frame where the seat stays joined the seat tube afta a big drop in a quarry we were playin around in years ago, in those days raleigh had a 15 yr frame warranty so it was replaced for free.

    I snaped 2 cannondales (3.0 series back in the early 90's) both in the same place where the BB shell joins the chain stay with in 6 months of each other.

    A Dave Yates Diablo, rear seat stay and a Clockwork Orange LX head tube. both in the late 90's
