Set myself a little challenge to seek out some great music from 'my' decade. See: it wasn't all bad:-

Any more for the playlist? Remember, I'm the DJ so I reserve the right to act as Quality Control!

    Sorry, you're not my type.

Ok, fair point, criminal to overlook 'The League'. It's on the playlist.

    What no Wham! ?

Ah, good memories there. A bit of Blondie, Big Country, Simple Minds, & Duran Duran would be on my list.

Ah yes, In a Big Country at least should be there, along with Rapture by Blondie (bit early for me really).

    It was all horribly shite.

I say that after sitting through last night's tv "fest" of 80's trans-gender wierdness with my teenaged kids who just looked at Mrs P and me in deep pity.

They couldn't understand why our generation got so obsessive about sexuality issues.
"Dad, if you're gay, you're gay! what is the problem?"

BTW I am not gay. (see, there I go! 80's angst all over again.)

CLOSE, but no cigar! Was a private club, basically for Millionaires!
Lads I worked with were ex Pro soccer palyer, ex-Welsh International Rugby player, PE teacher, and me...

We had a full gym, fitness eqpt, squash courts, sunbeds, restaurant, bar, beauty salon for the LAYDEEEEZ ( Millionaires wives/girlfriends), and a "Private" drinking/piss up area for the guys.

Two alcoholic chefs, a gay manager, and 3 gorgeous beauties in the salon.

    Great job while it lasted...

    @Splottboy:-

Well, I would say this - I've been working here for 18 years, and in 1975 no one died. In 1976, no one died. In 1977, no one died. In 1978, no one died. In 1979, no-one died. In 1980... someone died. In 1981, no one died. In 1982 there was the incident with the pigeon. In 1983, no one died. In 1984, no one died. In 1985, no one died. In 1986... I mean, I could go on.

Yep Yaz was cool. Think she's a committed Christian now, living in some exotic place.

Other good 80's song, "Ride on Time", Black Box, but not that Dimbo who mimed it!

Also, "another" Yaz around, Yaz Alexander, reggae stylee singer.
