I think it is you who needs to watch their mouth. An example from another thread today
Oh, and whenever you can write and record a song at home yourself, come back and slag off my music. I'll gladly do the same to your efforts. Asshole.
Even better, that is from a thread where Paul accuses Chris Hoy of taking steroids on the basis that mate of his said he looked like he did. And this from someone who has seriously argued that Pharmstrong clean and no one should accuse him of doping without 'proof'.

You're obsessed with him, and it's sad.

You're twisting what I stated to suit your theory - a sign of someone who doesn't know what they're talking about and needs to re-read what was said :)

A student quoting Star Wars... whatever next?
"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Hey that's really impressive. I had no idea you were so academic! Nice one Paul, you've really surprised me there because you give the impression that you are in year 7.

Jeez, I've got an Honours degree in Biology and all I did at uni was socialize and doss about (played guitar in a band, had a radio show and DJ'd). Just did the required work the day before it was needed. It was a piece of p*ss.

Don't try and impress me with academic achievement!

What is with posters who feel the need to bum to f*ck about academic achievements

Academic qualifications are indeed irrelevant. There are a lot of people there who haven't got any who have done incredibly well for themselves and I know people who are stuck in academia because they have no clue about the outside world and no common sense!

I'll tell you something you have achieved Paul. You've made a complete cross section of posters that can't usually agree on the result of 2+2 unified against the position you take. That is one hell of an achievement. Are you sure you're not Big Tex, only he can usually keep a thread like this running?

Edit: Did I mention I've got a CSE Grade1 in Geography? Remember, temperature is always a red line and rainfall a blue bar graph :)

Edit 2: I was in Geography class at school with Theo Paphitis, the bloke from the Apprentice ;)

Edit 3: Both the above are true.

Very true. I only went to uni originally due having no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I'm not proud of it, although I like to think that I now have some much needed direction.

On the other hand, there are a lot of people out there who have done incredibly well for themselves due to a vocational degree whereas there are many others who haven't any qualifications and are wondering how to spell 'burger' on the application form.

However you look at it, on average, decent qualifications pay; to call them irrelevant is simply wrong. Unfortunately, these days a decent qualification tends to start at Masters level given that first degrees have been devalued.

Reading throught this thread, I don't think you are very bright.
Your bike is shite, too.

BTW, do you drive a 1 series BMW ?

Considering you just spelt 'through' with a T at the end, don't tell me I'm not very bright :)

And let's not get personal eh? You don't know me and you don't know what you're talking about. Plus, I don't trust you cos you have a plate of nachos as your avatar, which is worrying...

And no, I never learned to drive. I prefer being social and meeting new people on the bus. Or riding my bike wherever I'm going. Thanks for the interest.

Think you need to practice your social skills a bit more....

Anyhoo, I am typing this slowly due to the fact I am pretty sure you can't read very fast. I am very impressed you have an Honours degree, honest that really is fabulous, well done, I bow down to your seriously superior intellect. Tell me, if you have such soopa-doopa quals', how come you have to take the bus ? Last time I was on a bus was when my pay was below the 40% tax bracket and even then was just a quick peek at how the under-class travel. I haven't been on a bus for 13 years now.
Are you a mopper or have you been promoted to fries ?
Right, I'm off for some nachos, if thats not too worrying for you, woooohhh.

    Oh dear.

I made a light-hearted throw-away comment in reference to the tone of the thread, which, in my view, was akin to a playground spat. You chose to react and respond against the grain - presumably in some strange attempt to make me feel uncomfortable and appear callous.

Believe it or not, I don't go out of my way to offend strangers on cycling forums.

    Get a life.
