Upgraded damper for Double Agent forks.
It'll add an extra 300g to the bike, but apparently the performance increase is well worth it. For the price, it had bIoody well better be.0 -
Some "Mt Zoom" bits for the Top Fuel, looks like a decent rival for KCNC. Got to get to 20lbs with sensible tyres!0

A Cinelli Lightweight bike bag to store one of the bikes under the bed in the spare room,

this will keep the other half happy and my life quiet!0 -

Nowt wrong with my scales young man :shock:0 -
Mine, it'll be sub 15 on some people's scales!
Weighed a load of bikes on Friday on a ride. Mine was 20.29, closest was a Yeti ARC hardtail, full 2011 XTR, SID World Cup XXs, DT190 wheels, came to 20.4. Devil's in the detail :-)0 -
this thread pretty much explains this: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/120684/Hardcore hardtail:

And a single speed commuter bike:

weighing bikes out on a ride eh? rock and obvious.0 -
Well no one can resist when the scales come out, rude not to bring them to a ride really!
Think the shock was probably an Epic Expert at 29.5lbs!0 -

I had a look at the 93g carbon bars but they felt pretty fragile.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
Who are you calling inbred?0 -
Not so much ordered but purchased, the good mountain biking guide, 700 routes across Britain and a years subscription to os get a map (£18) so I can plot them and print an accurate map as the book has ideas and suggestions but not enirely clear mapping0

Dunno, the stuff I've seen looks good. I'm not sure I'd go throwing myself off 10ft to flat drops, but a 93g bar is never going to be the toughest! I've got a riser bar on order, so we'll see what that's like! Excellent weight for the money certainly.0 -

im only pulling your leg.
nearly 30lbs for an epic! has it got lyriks and DH wheels on it?!0 -
Pulling my leg!? Nah :-)
Nope! Had a dropper seatpost, and was XL (I think), but otherwise reasonable spec: F100 forks, DT wheels, X.9/XT, did have Fire XCs on, and I think I heard "flat away" strips mentioned, but was still surprised!
Back vageuly OT I reckon I'm chasing 130g to get to 20lbs with Rocket Rons. Tempted to order some new Egg Beater 3s and ti axles, but really shouldn't...0 -
are you chasing that 130g because you think it will make the bike ride differently or because 20lbs is a bit of a milestone?0
-
Very definitely the latter :-)0
-
You say that now, but you'd have to weigh your bike if the scales were there I'm sure ;-)0

new(used) 29er full suspension frame and forks, thread in relevent place when it arrives with pictures.
new Rock Shoxs Ario 2.1 just to get it up and running and then decide on a proper shock?0 -

sheepsteeth wrote:does it not have a shock already?
It will have, but being a 29er, it will be made from hemp or something else suitable for the sort of hippy that will buy one.0 -

in that case i would recommend waiting and buying whatever you will end up with, anything less is a waste of cash and if ou are talking baout one of the cheaper 07 version shocks, i d be tempted to steer clear, early rockshox shocks werent known for their awesomeness.0 -
i'll probably get a RP23 but there's some very swanky looking DT swiss carbon jobbys with remote lock out for not bad Money but then its 200mm e2e and the frame is 185 e2e0
-
what shock does the frame usually come with?
i tihkn some frames are tuned for specific shocks what with leverage ratios and whatnot.0 -
