Avid matchmakers (save some weight up the front end and make it less cluttered)

Good call. Just wish they made ones that would fit XTR shifter pods (and Avid brake levers). :(
  • This:

    13808.jpg

Brand new from Formage le Grande (The Big Cheese) in 32/22

It's not that one, it's the better one (+ has KCNC goodness in the shape of bolts)

    The better one
Linkness if possible, but that's the image that appears from a Gewgel Perch
  • It's the more expensive version, with better quailty arms/machining ;)

100mm stem was 96g, bars (un-cut) were 118g on my scales. I'd recommend taking out the stem bolts and putting s smear of grease/ti-prep on the underside of the heads. Mine made a horrendous creaking sound...
  • Should be able to take a fair whack of weight off the front end by:
KCNC bars KCNC stem KCNC grips Matchmakers Plus all the Ti and Alu bolts - STEEL - "How VERY dare you"

I realise that at 1540gr my wheels are not the lightest, but I want a little more robustness given my weight. Plus I really like them, very well made.

Schwalbe City Jets, 1.95". Still big enough to ride down steps without worrying about dinging my rim (a major concern, I'm sure you'll agree). :D

  • Just ordered a pair of formula the one brakes. £292 brand new and posted from a french ebay seller. The cheapest I could find them anywhere in the uk was about £200 each end, so I think that's a pretty darn good deal!

ah but they were the older models, if they were doing the new ones for 200 quid i doubt they would still have them in stock  id buy atleast 2 pairs at that price!!

this is correct. they were selling them, but they were the older 2009 (i think) model. something like 50grams heavier each end, and not quite as powerful apparently.
