Yes, but the fact its me is not really a fashion recommendation. I just like it as I could disappear into Foxc's curtains without being noticed :)

  • There will be no plss taking from me. I really want a road bike!

Coupled with Strava for the competitive push, I'm finding road riding to be actually quite fun. I'm in the top 10 on quite a few sections, and that's just on a converted MTB.

This is especially true now that a good portion of our trails are completely ruined by all the constant rain.

It's also having a marked difference on my overall fitness, I just find that when on the road, I constantly want to push myself harder. I don't really get that on the MTB tbh.

Also, I've got that same helmet and can't fault it.

Yay we can be helmet buddies

Yeah after doing the Kaiser earlier in the year and seeing some of the roads around the valleys I just though its worth having for days i dont want to load the car up just go out and get my legs turning

Getting a road bike is probably the best thing I've done for my riding. Looks like a good choice, and now you've got an excuse when you get caught looking at lycra:

I thought getting run over was the best thing youve done for your riding as its bought you a stable of bikes and paid for your riding course?

None from me. I've got 2 with a cross bike on the way. 150 miles on a MTB is a PITA.

Legendary shoes! Wish they still made them.

Mine are three years strong and not a sign of wear (they've been used in all seasons through summer sweat, winter snow and spring showers and they've never let a drop of water in  ).

Hence my desperation to find a used pair in good condition! The new ones look crap, these old ones got amazing reviews and you still loads out on the trail. I found a brand spanking new pair at rutland cycling that were a size too big, gutted!
