Concorde took off directly over me. I thought the world was coming to an end. The noise was incredible, the whole car felt like it was going to get blown to pieces.
What a fabulous machine. No, I don't mean the car.

I did one of those joyflights on Concorde from Brizzle Airfield, aka Filton. We were sat on the runway on the brakes and the pilot unleashed 250,000bhp and let the brakes off. My view out of the window went in an instant.

Their drivers always wait until it is safe to pass and then give me a wide berth.

    Thanks

Que? You go off for the day Crimbo shopping & trying to see the F1 cars round MK centre and come back to find yourself paired off. Neat.

See what you've all done now? You've scared the poor girl off. Poor mite.

Talk to us Suzy, even if it's just a rant about being bandied about as a spare bit of totty on the loose.
  • A bloke in a little Transit connect type van actually shouted 'Sorry mate' this morning, after he swerved left to make space for a scooter passing him on the right, which took him in front of me. In fact there was no real need to apologise as there was no danger of him hitting me - I wasn't passing him, just sitting behind and off to the left of him, but it was much appreciated nonetheless.

1100 miles for the year :D

And when I was out a car waited behind me when the the temporary traffic lights went green and let me off as if I was a car in front of them. Mucho thanks.

And when I returned home I saw a responsible dog owner clean up after their pooch. With all the dog crap you see lying around town I didn't think any of them actually existed.

Wow I'm just full of the joys today.

Surely it's a bit cold to just be wearing leg warmers?

In the North we are still wearing shorts :P

Anyway! My cycle2work agreement ends on the 31st December, time for a new bike. Ditching the MTB and going for a Cube Peloton.

Also starting motorbike lessons soon, double bonus :-)

Took a different route home tonight and used Concorde Way cyclepath in Bristol and the small led lights on the deck lighting the path looked very christmassy.

I've been given an early Christmas present by work. I've got a new PC. It's all a bit new and I'm struggling to find my way around. But, it works!!! It's not painfully slow, it doesn't take 15 minutes to wake up in the morning.
    I'm a happy unit today.

I saw a girl riding the other way a few weeks ago with xmas lights on her bike, red, blue, green, yellow and white lights along her top tube. Not surehow she powered them though.

Probably hooked up to the batteries for her vibrating love eggs.

The same way I power mine.

Not really, I got some cheapo ones that are battery powered, 2 AAs, they survived a downpour last week though, I'm impressed.
BTW, do 'the rulez' say that you have to have a red light on the back, or that you can only have a red light on the back, because I've got red and bluey-white fairy lights on the back of my bag.

Best commute of the year for me!

Practically green lights all the way, not much wind, quieter roads...love it!
