Good spot - will have to check this out - is that the Megabite size? No - I'm confused as they are 30g and the full-size ones are 67g I think. Sounds a bit like the multibuy crisp bags where the crisps are much smaller.

Here you go.. a link to the advert.. http://www.mulebar.com/images_mailings/ ... iling.html

A special size for Tescos I think.
“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

  • up here in the north of Scotland, the CoOp seem to be the only supermarket.. fortunately they to a really brilliant flapjack, the name escapes me sorry, 49p, great range of flavours and decent weight. Probably the best value/tasting flapjack I've ever had and I've pretty much had them all.
Other than that, I recently picked up some nice tesco bars which were only about 40g each, came in a 3 pack, full of seeds, nuts, raisins.. nice soft texture and easy to munch. found them in amongst all the above mentioned bars.
+1 for naked and mule bars, but they're pricey.
I try to make my own from time to time, always try to use lots of honey, dates, apricots, nuts and seeds. well worth it if you hit upon a good recipe and remember to write it down!!

Blimey - you must be a long way up. The sign at the end of my road says John O'Groats 115 miles - so I'm guessing you're up there somewhere (though Wick has a Tesco)

At least when you pay extra because you're not "Mainland UK" you really aren't!

The (new?) Soreen Go bars are my favourite at the moment. Not sure how the fat/carb content compares, but they're delicious. Chewy and moist unlike most cereal bars.

Yep the best tasting bar by a country mile. Taste like malt loaf with a bit more texture. They're really low in fat less than 5% and350 cals. 72% carbs. Not sold everywhere yet - Asda sole source around for me. Only problem is last time I went to go out on the bike me and the missus had eaten them all.

Some fruity bars taste like vomit. Quite like carman bars from Aus and the newish Nature valley.

358kcal per 100g, but only 143kcal per bar.
