Is this a "Welsh thing"? :shock:0 -
I've joined to pro group. I live about 20 minues from there, I take my dog walking there a lot, I also do a lot of riding around there. The route that it is proposed to take vans up is a road that links into the bike trail, they're not changing a bike trail to a road.
The route they're going to use is also shite. There's way better routes in the area. Build it. Now. In fact, I'm off there now with a spade and some rope to get the damn thing started

Go Ape's are awsome! Mind... i did one in France that wasent a Go Ape, but was the same thing, but a private company.... it was even better, much cheaper, it was just me and the guide and it laster like 4 hours, and the health and safty was sketchy, and i was alowed to go steight onto the balck run, as he decided i was quite good....
AWSOME!

Haven't read all the posts but...
Didn't a young British woman die in France/Switzerland a few weeks back on one of these "Zip Line" things?
Think she was on an Adventure course of some sort, and her equipment/harness wasn't clipped together properly.
Apparently she crashed into a rock/boulder at high speed, poor thing.0 -

That wasn't Go Ape though. It was a hardcore rock climbing zip line thing in the Alps I think.0 -
I really must book another course soon...0

How did I miss this thread till now!
Go ape is a pain in the arris. Since they built the one in Coed y Brenin, I'm always ignorantly taking the wrong turn and ending up in the goApe carpark ins tead of the Coedy one. That costs me about a minute of my life every time I visit
GRRRRRR
Seriously though, they're great fun. I've been to the one in Delamere, and the "very similar to go-ape, but not actually called go-ape" one just outside Betws y Coed.
Great days out.
And who the hell could oppose to hearing the sounds of people having fun outdoors?0 -
