Where do I start? Lets see now...

Overtake a car struggling up a 10+% hill and then 'drop' it after giving it 'the look'. (© NapD)
✓ Check

Due to strong core muscles, successfully ride over a patch of ice no-handed while cornering and correct any slippage without touching the handlebars.
✓ Check

Reach for a bidon and drink while trackstanding at a red light.
✓ Check

Start a conversation with a chaingang of silly tr*athletes you are overtaking simply because they are out of breath and you are not. Proceed to eat a banana during their oxygen-debt-limited reply just to rub it in.
✓ Check

Humiliate elite track-cyclist over cobblestones, something they have probably never ever trained over.
✓ Check

Freewheel round, almost overcooking a hairpin bend because you're going too fast while climbing it.
✓ Check

Convince a team of pot-hole repair men to phone their boss to inform him that, in their professional opinion, certain roads need resurfacing completely, even if the roads in question are nowhere near their current location.
✓ Check

Get home after almost 4 hours in the rain and do some tabata intervals on the rollers because you didn't suffer enough.

You are just too cool for school.

How many bananas/honey did you consume in the 4 hours ?

Has Dave Brasilford been on the blower yet ?

Where do you train to ride on cobbles ?

Only 6 bananas today. Brailsford actually handed them to me, from the GB team car, of course.

The cobbles were actually in the city centre of Manchester, round deansgate/salford-ish.

I, on the other hand, was totally crap!

Only did 3 of the 5 planned big climbs.
    Got cold, legs felt dead.
    Struggled for 2 3/4 hrs.
Suffered like dog in the headwind.
Grovelled on even the easiest rises.

Worst ride for a long, long, long time. Haven't felt so bad on a bike for possibly years.

Felt like ringing the Mrs after an hour to come and get me.
But, like a total plonker, I finished it.

    Bet I was crapper.

I looked at my bike, and thought how cool it would be to be out riding it.

Then I went for a cup of tea, and started revising for exams.

    Oh yeah! 8)

How awesome does ascending rose dale chimney at an average speed of 33mph make me?

I don't have a Garmin log of it unfortunately it got corrupt, but I swear I did it.

I got so bored of waiting for Will, LazyBoy and NapD, that I rode home, got my video camera and rode back to film them finally getting to the top. Now let me post it on youtube for you all and get back to you with the link....

It appeared that NapD had lapped me due to fact that I have that control from the film "Click", so I'm able to mess with time. I actually lapped everyone by 88 laps, my average speed to everyone was 88 miles per second. At which point I disappeared due to me doing 88 miles per second.

I once got ran over by a bhima nearly. It was turning left in the dark without indicating and had no lights on.
