edited March 2010 in Pro race
Pineau (QST), Loubet (ALM), Nieve (EUS), Moinard (COF), Marcato (VAC), Marino (SAU) and Timmer (SKS) are up the road, with 3.15 after 20km.

Haussler's just abandoned. Another very cold day.

Voigt in yellow. Sagan is in green and white (Kreuziger's second on the white, so he's wearing it) and Saur-Sojasun's Laurent "Mrs" Mangel keeps his KoM jersey.

Video should appear earlier, around 13.45GMT/14.45CET.

That final climb is a stinker, it's very steep at the start and only gets a tiny bit easier as you go up, by which time your legs are shot.

They will be all over the mountain and finish in penny numbers.

I'm at work. However, by the power of Sky remote record, I'll have the whole race waiting for me when I get home for enjoyment later.

Just need to execute a Likey Lads-esque avoidance of this thread to keep the suspense going all evening!

In l’Equipe, yellow jersey holder Jens Voigt, 38, suggested the organisers create a “grey jersey” for the best old rider: “Why not when there is a white jersey for the young riders?” he said.

40kms of gradual climbing preceeds the climb which averages 10%. Last included in 2007, Contador was the winner, solo. Valverde is psyched for today for not delivering yesterday.

    Very snazy scarf.
-5C at the foot of the first climb. Taylor made conditions for Tom "Eskimo" Danielson.

Here's the really shocking breaking news. I'm surprised Iain hasn't spotted this, even if it is a different code:

Sagan's getting annoying now. Winning at 20 but being able to freewheel as wheel? FFS

As for the Sporza story, it's surely the one below that's better: "Schleck confirms Pozzato is hetero".

That was just banter and not presenting views on pro cycling, most people could spot this?

How old are you? I ask out of curiosity, know it's a loaded question but I sense some youth there FF

One of the blokes in the breakaway is called snow (Nieve means snow in Spanish).

It's -2oC on the road now. I'd be cold even inside the team car.

Maybe if you were the one bearing the brunt of other members 'fun' you would begin to understand. Maybe being one of the members who does some of the aforementioned 'fun', it might be difficult.

Btw, I could easily quote you being 'negative'...........

All very steady. Break gently melting away. Outer kit off, ready to kick off.
Do we need the needle on here? Go play in stage 2, if that's your bag.

This race had better get good on Mende 'cos riding up a valley is proving quite tedious

Age is nothing but numbers and it certainly doesn't buy maturity or calmness as is demonstrated all too often by some of you.

That you take my opinions as fact is your problem not mine. You cannot have a go at me for that; it is your interpretation of what I say and I cannot be held responsible for that.

I'm stopping now as I actually work 12 hour days and having to continually defend and justify myself to people who appear to have all the time in the World on their hands is annoying and not a good use of my time.

Other trains begin the charge early. Pereiro has been grafting on the front.
