Honest feedback is best.. They are the same shorts we supply to our pro team Orbea-For Goodness Shakes! for training if that helps?

You've only gone and done it. I love For Goodness Shakes!

We were glugging them down at the photoshoot yesterday with Mule Bars.. I'll be bad to XL in no time if I'm not careful ;-)

Let me know what these fit like, as I am undecided on them!

How would you compare them to other shorts?

I have 2 pairs of Giordana Solid Line Bibshorts from Ribble and find them really comfortable, especially the pad. I bought DHB from Wiggle and found the pad went up the crack of my ass and was very uncomfortable.

Not sure if its the same with shorts, but I bought Altura Night Vision Bibtights and I find the pad is in totally the wrong place. I end up sitting on half the pad with the rest bunched up at the front.

I read this thread a couple of weeks ago and I gave these Giordana Solid a try. The pad is very thin but also very comfortable for about 30 miles. I used a pair of these over the weekend for 85 miles ride and I had no sores at the end of it but for the last 50 miles or so I could never get comfortable.

I was wondering if the Shuttvr bibshorts are worth a try or will I need to get osasso bibshorts to get up to 100 miles in comfort?

Does anyone know how thick the pad is on the Giordana Tenax?

Sounds more like you have a problem with your saddle as opposed to your shorts. I've cycled >150 miles in a day numerous times using either inexpensive Nike bibshorts or DHB biblongs. Never had a problem so spending £100 plus on Assos isn't going to do anything for me other than make me poorer.

I recently bought some Santini Top bibshorts from Prendas for about £40 which are spot-on.

Did you use any chamois cream?
    More problems but still living....

    I've bought some Strutt VRs

Very comfy, the material is nice, they are stylish & very good value!

I don't think it is the saddle that is giving me pain. The saddle is a brooks Team Pro which is super comfy. I can do 20 miles with no padding at all and it will not hurt at all. If it was a gel saddle then I could suspect that cause gel saddles get very uncomfortable after some miles but leather saddles seem to be different. I'm sure I just needed the same type of shorts but with more padding. The leather saddle is hard but comfortable, if I were to sit down on a wooden chair for several hours then I'm sure I would feel it uncomfortable and I think this is what happening here.

Yes, I always use assos chamois cream, excellent.

Some people here will only ride comfortably after they have found a good pair of shorts. Not saying that the Gordanis are not good because I find them really good but not for longer rides for me, I think I need more padding but good quality padding :) I bought some cheap Aldi bibs two years ago and the padding on those it's just a waste of cash. I feel more comfortable riding commando than riding with those Aldi bibs and I'm not joking.

My saddle is a Brooks Team Pro and for me the saddle and VRs are more comfy than other shorts I have.

Saddle and short combos are a personal thing and vary from person to person.
