Best shorts for round 30 quid?

I need some new shorts.
My current shorts have worn, sort of bubbling or whatever you call it because it's being rubbing on something, does this wear always occur if the shorts are rubbing or is it down to the quality of the material?
My budget is around 30 quid, might stretch to 50. I had some Endura shorts, think they where the FS260, they had a big blue pad in them and they where awfull for me, seemed like the bad just crumpled up and stuck in my ass, so that was 50 quid I wasted last year as I could not return them, probs did about 60 miles in em total .
Any ideas?
Thanks
Will.

Some of my faves at that price are Giordana (my club kit) and I have some Pearl Izumis I think were about that price...

A lot on here reckon the DHB ones from wiggle are good.0 -
Lusso Pro Gel / Altura Pro Gel at that price......0

What are the pads like inside? I'd hate to buy a pair and them end up being uncomfortable due to an odd pad or something.0

DHB Earnleys from Wiggle are pretty good. Have had a pair for two season now and they have stood up well. Just about comfortable enough for 100 miles but I do find when off the bike that the braces slip off the shoulder.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

there's nothing 'odd' about the pads...?
I was asking a question regarding the pad, I wanted to know what people thought they where like, this is because these endura bib shorts I have I cannot wear, the pad crumples up and literally sticks up yer ass.... as is VERY uncomfortable.0 -

I have 2 pairs of Giordana Solid Line Bibshorts from Ribble and find them really comfortable, especially the pad. I bought DHB from Wiggle and found the pad went up the crack of my ass and was very uncomfortable.
Not sure if its the same with shorts, but I bought Altura Night Vision Bibtights and I find the pad is in totally the wrong place. I end up sitting on half the pad with the rest bunched up at the front.0 -

Er, no... if you get ones that fit well. Being 6'5" means bibs are often a fail for me.0 -

Are they just too big for you? I have some FS260 bibs and they're great but I've also got some Altura bib tights with the same 'up your ass' problem but thought it was because they're too big? Really fukcin uncomfortable either way.Cannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 30000 -
You are more than welcome to these if you want - I don't use them anymore

They can't have being too big, they fitted me perfectly apart from the damn pad, I might just give these Giordana Solid lines a go.0 -
I've gone for some medium size Shuttvr shorts.
32 quid with postage.0 -

bib shorts are fine if you enjoy putting your crown jewels under immense stress and looking like a total gaylord. All this stuff about normal shorts falling down - load of codswallop.0

Lol what?
They don't put them under immense stress at all, you've either had the wrong size or are just trying to give yourself a wedgie....
And when wearing them you'd not be able to tell if they're bib shorts or normal shorts.....0 -

Well I ordered from Shuttvr and apparently my shorts where dispatched on 3rd March by Royal Mail 1st Class signed for, still not got here, they told me dimensions of parcel and all that and replied quick enough then but I asked yesterday for tracking number and go no reply what so ever.
Bit put off from ordering from them tbh. Payment was by paypal, should I start a dispute?0 -
