Cheers for this; I was looking for recipes earlier. Be a lot cheaper than those bars from the bike shop, which do tend to taste like wet socks (yes I tried).
  • Ive got some more tasty recipes for bannana muffins and lots of other energy packed stuff.
If peaple show interest and enjoy the bars.I will post up some more.

    Hope you enjoy the Bunneh.

Thanks for this and I'm going to give them a go tonight.

Do you melt the butter first and pour into the bowl as a liquid, or just leave it as it is?

Same here. Made some last night and they came out well..perfect consistancy. I think I'll try some different fillings next time though such as blueberries or raisens.

    thanks for the recipe

    Look forward to them.

Might try using your muffins on my sportives as they're soft enough to eat on the go without much effort. They'll make a change from my own flapjacks and Mule/Clif bars/fig rolls..

Ate a couple of them today on a 70 miler and all went well. They're really easy to eat on the go and did the job nicely. What are they, about 200 kcal each?

About 160-170 calories per muffin. And they are much tastier than those bars you can buy.

Only thing is the Mules and Clifs are more calories per bar, which is why I prefer them on Sportives. 170 calories just isn't enough. You're right though, they are cracking and I'm going to experiment with more recipes this week, i,e, blueberry's etc.
