Well done Flecha, he's a great rider and was deserving of a big win."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Dave B looked crazy happy at the end there. Do you think hnow understands why road racing is a bazillion times better than that wooden circle business?0

Good race, good coverage via Sporza too. Well earned victory for Flecha.0

Actually I was wrong... stefrees had him!0 -
well Boonen going too early... yes or no?
I think so...massive wasted effort.
I think he was surprised no one came across with him
if he had made that effort on the Molenberg or played for the sprint finish?
well hindsight and all that... nuyens was flying... unlucky there.
a lot of the top guys punctured thou.."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
Great ride. I've always thought of him as a strong rider but without a brain, but you don't need to ride clever once you've cracked Gilbert. Great ride and a nice tribute to VDB.0

A great win for Sky. They will take another big win this spring. Hopefully the disrespect some have displayed towards sky on here and elsewhere will be muted now.0

He looked pretty happy with Cooke's two road race golds in 2008 though think he has more invested in this.0 -

It's not disrespect - it's a healthy scepticism towards over precious fanboys.0 -

they have done enough to do that already today...
flechas interview was dignified and in step with the Belgium zietgiest"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What happened to EBH's sprint? Looked like he went way too early. Bit of a shame considering he had been sitting in for the last 40km...Racing for Fluid Fin Race Team in 2012 - www.fluidfin.co.uk0

it is disrespect, showing support for the team and what they represent should not be much to ask.0 -

Boonen always demonstrates on the Taaienberg, always. This was the first time no-one jumped on his wheel. Always does it in E3 too.
I think it's more a mental thing for him. Can't say he suffered too much from the effort. Hard to say.
I doubt it would have featured much.
He's definitely got more top end speed than he did last year.0 -
