Could have been a woman....
...but it happens to be a man. Yes, it's Vinnie Vincent!
I originally did this as a joke, but I'm not so sure actually. Could be in my serious top ten.
Staying 'serious', someone already mentioned Frank Zappa so I don't have to.
I'd add Bob Mould (post-Husker Du, to be controversial).
Also, the Stu Hamm bass-thing. I charge him as being personally responsible for the years when I tried to emulate not only his sound but also his style of playing, and I thus ended up having a sh!t bass sound and a sh!t style of playing. A huge distraction in terms of musical development. Purge him from your lists.
And who wrote 'Frank Gambale'? <sigh> See me at the end of the class.Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.
And then you put in the milk.0 -
Chatting to an old friend at his shop yesterday, I mentioned I was going to see Peter Green again.
"Peter Green, ahh, I remember him being brought into the shop in about 1969 by Marc Bolan. Bolan had come with him to buy him a pair of boots because Peter had given all his money away and was skint" Nice."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -
