The bimmer bike I'm keen to hear more about is their concept straight six bike. Looks pretty awesome, but the figures seem a little low. I was hoping the sausage munchers were about to unleash a 'busa beater.

This sounds great, sounds better in the flesh though.

Sports bikes are all well and good, but I do love the sound of a well looked after v-twin. The sort of noise that you can feel in your chest.

It almost makes those 'dull' races when Stoner's walking it at the front worthwhile. Love the throaty burble from that massive single pipe mid corner that winds up to a howl like a giant, angry wasp at the top end. I could listen to it all day!

A V4 that revs like an IL4 8) although I think the 990 sounded better than the 800. The GP12 should be absolutely amazing.

[pedant mode] The previous ducati GP bikes have had 2 exhaust pipes, and from the launch photos it appears the GP10 also has 2 (the second is under the riders right foot peg) [/pedant mode]

Do sound frickin great, we sat at the bottom of the craner curves at donnington when 4 of the 990 dukes came past in close succession and they drowned out the noise of an aircraft taking off and the hill was vibrating! Awesome! And hoorah they have seen sense in going back to 1000's!
