Bhima, where were you? We waited outside Woodford aerospace for 15 mins, but had to go at 1040 as we were getting cold.

Had a good ride today, thanks to John and Richard for coming along. Nice to know John had never done that distance before. We did 40 miles, through some lovely Cheshire lanes and even a bit of sleet as we rode into Chelford!
Hope we can do something similar again soon guys,

  • Top ride, great roads, mainly quiet :) Cold day but it makes you pedal harder to keep warm  Will be doing it again soon, cheers Chris :)

Did 230k yesterday, all in the peaks, with a headwind 100% of the time. It was absolutely savage, especially as I was geting slaughtered by a couple of Elite guys. Got in stupidly late, despite leaving at 8.30am, eat loads and went to bed within an hour. I set my alarm early so I could get up but ended up going back to bed after turning it off. I was soooo gone. Just been stretching and eating all day! As I turned my alarm off, it hit me that I had nobody's phone number to let you know I wouldn't be there.

Only just seen you were meeting at 10.30 now, so I would have been early if I turned up...

Legs feel OK now, so i'm up for a ride tomorrow if anyone's up for it. Same time, same place. I've got nothing planned for next Sunday as i'm busy so I should be there next Monday without fail.

Bhima, you don't need anyones contact details to just post a quick message on this thread. Would of saved us standing in the freezing cold at woodford waiting for your no-show.
I'm not out next Monday but will be doing one the week after.

Nice one Bhima, post on here if there's a chance you can't make it, as I always read threads before heading out to meet people.
Meet at 10:30 woodford aerodrome gates, theres a bus stop just past on the way to Wilmslow.
Weather for monday is not promising though :(

    10:30 it is!

Working hard all Sunday night, until about 7am, so I may be a little tired when I get there but hopefully the ride will wake me up.
  • Rich has cried off, his Missus has got the day off so he`s gotta do domestic stuff :?

Well, unless there's ice, i'll still be out.

After the ice-age we had over xmas, i've been going out in downpours and actually enjoying it. Don't really mind a bit of rain nowadays.
  • Sleet forecast for Stockport area, rain in Congleton. Probably worth the risk :) CU before 10 CW42, CU at Woodford Bhima.

Right, i'll check the thread in the morning. As I said, i'll definately be out, unless there's ice, but if you decide it's too poor, fair enough.

    Agreed. It's absolutely dire here.

In that case, I think i'll also give it a miss. The weather is due to clear up in a couple of hours (apparently ) so maybe i'll go out in a bit.

Looks like it's going to be a nice morning over this neck of the woods today. If you're up for it Johnny/Bhima, I'm going to venture out around 10am. Same as last week, route will be mostly flat and around 40 miles long, looking to finish around dinnertime.

Edited to say: Just been out for a walk with the dog and nearly froze my face off! It's very cold and icy out atm, so off to the gym instead :(
Hopefully weather will improve for next monday.
