Hoop--la..they are some tasty looking wheels..should be on course for around 23.5-23.75lb.
  • Weighed them with those tyres, xt cassette and hope skewers and they come in at 8.04lbs. Thats with standard tyres and quite heavy tubes.

Cannot wait for the tubless tyres to arrive, think i am becoming a bit of a weight weenie! Will be buying a KMC X10 SL chain next

Yes it gets addictive once you get under a certain weight...suddenly a 30g saving is well worth the outlay.. :D
  • What size frame you got there? Ordered a Medium and found out it not due until May now. Give me more time to think about what to run on it I suppose.
  • Its a medium sized frame.
  • Its a medium sized frame.
  • Didn't realise there had been some medium 2010 frames available. Places I tried all said March at earliest. Nice build you got there, putting me all wrong now with how I was going to kit mine out :?
  • What spec were you going to run on yours?

My frame was instock at Cyclestore.
  • Just going to transfer lot of kit from my 2007. Raceface chainset, XT/XTR shifters and mechs, Hayes niner brakes, Hope pro3 hoops and Rockshox Reba teams that have just bought.
Was going to go Sid route but the Reba reviews and fact could try them at 120mm swung it. Fitted to old frame and very impressed so far. Have tio say seeing pictures of your frame with the Rebas and now Sids making me have second thoughts!
Old frame sitting around 26lbs so dont imagine new one will be noticeably lighter with this kit.
  • Hoops fitted and its weighing in at 23.66lbs:

  • Few updated pics. Almost finished now, just want some X0 shifters, possibly in redwin but not sure yet. They might compliment the formulas red bolts and fittings. Also possibly some XT or XTR pedals.

Totally fantastic bike, lover riding it, its so light and agile and feels like its got more travel than it actually has.

From what I've read the quoted weight seems to be about right - 5.09lbs / 2310g

I am becoming a real fan of Giant since getting my Reign 0.

Thank God for that ..... didn't want to say it but they really spoil the look of the bike!! And before someone starts I know they serve a useful purpose but ......

Waiting for my own Anthem X frame to arrive and this post has been really informative - probably replicate much of your build Rick, you seem to reached a perfect compromise between light weight and wasting money!

Is that roadie bar tape you used to protect the chain stay? If so, where did you get it from?
