  • Good man, I'm sure it will be ok for you and as you say swopping the stem over is only a 2 minute job anyway.
A week sounds a bit optimistic, mine took about three, it obviously depends on availlability of all components. Be interested to know just how long it does take.
Wherever you get a bike form you have to check it out thoroughly before storming off down the road, however good your LBS maybe it's my body that's on the line. The only problem I had was with the valves which is very minor and a bit confusing why the manufacturer should dispatch tubes with loose valves, Can't remember ever having a problem when I've bought them. Set up of gears, chainrings, brakes etc was spot on, I gave the odd half turn on a bolt or two but overall am delighted with the build quality.
Mine is ready for the road now, I'm waiting until the weather improves and in the meantime continue to use my winter bike. I'm glad to have been of help to you, let's know how you get on and good luck.

It says on the bike builder page that no payment will be taken untill the bike is ready to leave the wharehouse, i rang them to confirm and sent e-mails tro confirm that they only check the funds are availible as the money is in a savings account. The wife went to the bank yesterday to get some cash and there was nothing in there! The missis has said i have to cancle it and wants me to have nothing to do with them.

I still want the bike but have to talk her round now ive calmed down a bit.

Think it works like this, if you pay by credit card they claim the amount before dispatching the bike, if you pay by cheque they cash it before releasing the bike, sounds like you paid by debit card, they would check that funds were available in your account and earmark them so your mrs couldn't get her hands on it hence her unhappiness. When the bike is ready to dispatch they claim the amount from your account.
Result , your mrs is happy, well perhaps not but you soon will be.

They said the bank puts a stop on the money for 48hrs then realese it back into your account. Good job the mortgage went out first! My gripe was that they never told me they would stop any cash from been realised.

Getting it with campag centaur, carbon cranks, mavic askium wheels and full white deda zero 100 finishing kit, white xo saddle and white fizik bar tape. Looking at a good month till it comes.

paid extra for zero100 but ordered the basic saddle??

mate, saddle is the most important component for the road!

Cos its cheeper to buy a saddle ,than bar stem and seat post. Its not the most basic one either(xo genuine gel) and looks good for the low budget. I think the spec i've got for fifteen hundred quid is pretty good.

fair enough only playing not knocking it mate, i have a zero 100 stem (stuck with big piega bars as weight difference didnt do it for me for the price difference) but i wanted the full trim, it was deda and not ITM when i ordered
should be a decent weight that

To be honest im not too bothered about it been featherweight, what ever i get it'll weigh less that half of the dh bike i used to slog every where, i just like the look of the zero kit.
  • It will be worth the wait. I really do like the lively feel of mine (some carbon frames can feel quite inert & un-inspiring to ride).

I agree. Been out twice now on mine. set bike up on turbo trainer before 1st ride then on returning home raised saddle a touch, altered angle of bars and made slight adjustment to cleats. Bike feels very well balanced and really lifts off when you get out of the saddle, the way it puts the power down is superb. it's very sure-footed. Delighted

    Sorry no pics

The rear seat stays on mine are scooped and the top and down tubes are different shapes.
    The colours are the same.

Will drop Ribble an e-mail for some answers

Already have. Just playing around with differant positions to try and get compfy on it, seen as i dislocated my hip a year ago i need to find the best position. Cant pedal while on the drops and its a bit of a stretch on the hoods, but so far so good.
