Now the price is very tempting... must resist.

Is it just me, or are they not actually making the additional 15% daily discounts? Deal has been running for 3 days, but some stuff is only 24% off RRP?

The 'extra 15%' doesn't quite work like that...

    Day 0: 100%
    Day 1: 85%
    Day 2: 72% (i.e. 85% of 85%)
    Day 3: 61% (85% of 72%)

And smallprint also says something like the final discount will be on Friday at 11am, which I think means it only drops once.
It's a tad sneaky all in all.

Thanks, just done the same. I was getting low on tubes so that was a timely find.

I get thatthe 15% is on the previous day's price, but surely that price should drop 15% per day so that, cumulatively, you'd be looking at a 39% drop at least. Think their website may have struggled post 11 today though so might be worth checking this evening.

Haven't bought anything from this seller but have kind of got past worrying about this sort of attempt at 'English as she is spoke' which is pretty standard from Chinese suppliers - as long as you know what to expect re the price/product/service equation. Or buy Ayups if this keeps you awake at night :)

There are plenty of other sellers on eBay - I purchased mine for around the same price from a DIFFERENT seller to the one linked here.

A 10 pack of Donnay sports socks in Sports Direct for £3.99, handy for those times when you need a clean or dry pair in work.

It's hardly going to blow your socks off is it? I get 12% off everything at Wiggle. And the "Ribble Price" is often pretty high

ETA - Ribble charge absurd delivery costs to the Highlands too - I mean truly absurd so I boycott them on that basis alone and would urge you to do the same (please):D

To be fair, Ribble are mostly cheaper than Wiggle; you're just sulking because of the delivery cost that the rest of us don't have to pay! . I almost never find Wiggle to be competitive. Most of my non Ribble purchases tend to be for MTB stuff which they don't do. Mind you, the wheels I occasionally look at were on an extra 7% off the other week and I almost succumbed until I realised that the extra discount just took them to the price they had been before Christmas anyway

That's pretty much the way I've found it as well. Wiggle don't have to be too competitive in the UK market though because they do so well with overseas orders.

    Well

Assos 607 shorts were the last thing I bought

    Wiggle £154
    Ribble £158

I almost never find anything cheaper at Ribble but that maybe because I have a 12% Wiggle Platinum discount (which I got from my first purchase - a half price ex-demo bike)

Most people get the 12% discount from their British Cycling membership. Ribble is usually cheaper for components.

Discount from Wiggle or Ribble? I'm a tart when it comes to components - buy components (chains, tyres, pads, tubes) when they're heavily discounted in sales/offers from wherever they're cheap

Just looked - £1199....? Earlier mispricing?

    http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/r ... AL,42TXU,1

Hope that link works - it comes from the email they sent me and still shows £699 on the site (it's the upgrade kit rather than a complete groupset BTW)
Now at £474 but without cables and batteries. What's the point as presumably someone upgrading to Di2 would need cables and betteries. Listed at £499 but an extra £25 off at checkout makes it £474.

Battery I could live without as I could just swap from one bike to another but the cables are fairly fundamental! And not cheap as I remember...
