I've been pretty shameless too. I didn't realise there was a 5 pound each way link. How does that work?

It's not really a £5 each way, more if you've bought something using mine and let me know your link, next time I buy I'll create a new account and use your link to give you the £5 bonus, in order of whoever buys/posts first :)

Ultremos are amazing, they almost fall off the rim

Spoke too soon, had a real PITA stripping/refitting the ZX to my rear Aksium post-puncture last night. Same tyres go on/off our Dura Ace, RS80, 404 rims really easily so think the Aksiums must just be awkward. Have purchased the Pro4s from CR as the tyre's got a cut in it that's gone all the way through, which I've found in the past has led to chances of a visit from the fairy several-fold, even after trying to superglue the cut (glue never seems to stay in or cracks - any other suggestions?). Think I may pick up one of the var jack-style tyre levers for winter use too.

I got one. Even though the invoice that came with it says "5pk". Not impressed.

But er that's the unit price if you buy 5+ which granted is confusing because its more the <5 unit price but even so
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

This is CRC not some eBay offer. I suspect the issue in in fulfilment rather than the offer itself

Night Vision windproof jacket for £35.

    http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDeta ... goryID=206

Bargain - mine is now entering it's fourth winter. That + a long sleeve jersey underneath has kept me fine in temperatures down to -3.
  • My ordered item was "Continental Race 28 Supersonic Tube - 700 x 18-25 Presta 60mm (5pk)" but still only got one tube. I'll be writing to them tomorrow...

I also only got one tube, even though the order said a pack of 5. Hopefully get a refund or 4 more tubes!

They had better get it right or they'll be dead to you and you will have to go online to say that you'll never use them again.
Maybe you had better use Wiggle in future?

Any comment on the sizing for Scott shoes ? Here, http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/v ... ?idpage=45 it's indicated that they are slightly small.
For info I've generally managed a 43 and have had 2 pairs of size 43 Carnacs.
Edit to add - but for a pair of Diadora boots I'm running size 46s - that gives a very nice and generous sizing.
Edit x 2 - I need more shoes like a hole in my head but I have trouble ignoring bargains !

Well last year I bought a pair of Scott Team Issue (road) shoes in 42 and they are slightly too long for me. I fit a Shimano 43. Just bought a new pair of Scotts 41. Obviously sizing is very personal but I've found Scott sizing to be fairly similar to that of my Ecco boots if that helps.

I'm quite a big fan of CRC so certainly wont be boycotting them. I just spoke to somebody there, who was very helpful and said the other 4 will be in the post to me today.

Fair comment mate  Seemed a genuine error and this is the first mistake they have made with any order I have placed.

That's a lot better than the Amazon marketplace muppets (Northumberland Cycles or something) who did similar with a 5-pack of tubes that turned out to be 1 each. They refused to send the others through and wouldn't refund return postage if I wanted my money back. Was going to pursue them through trading standards about it but wasn't worth the time/effort.

Yeah, same, they don't have any more of the 5 packs so they're gonna send the remaining 8 today.

Can people stop posting links to bargains on cyclestore.co.uk!

I've not bought this but a Pearl Izumi s/s jersey and some arm warmers. This is on top of a jersey, and another jersey, and a long sleeved jersey and a jacket and some bib shorts and some bib 3/4 tights and some knee warmers last week!

    Too bargainous to pass up.
  • I must admit - I am tempted by the wind proof but have always gone for the water-proof tops instead (DHB eVent and an Altura Nightvision boil-in-the-bag-only-wear-when-below-zero jacket)

I bought a polaris winter jersey form them at 50% off and noticed the windproof but I have an evo too that I can only wear at very low temps too as I run hot when up and running
  • I'm slightly disappointed that CRC didn't reply to my email today - mailed them yesterday. For all Wiggle's apparent shortcomings, they do respond quickly to email.

Yup - would have done if I'd had 2 minutes today - unfortunately they only take calls in standard office hours

What stem would these take? Is it the integrated type? Or is the picture just chopping off the steerer?
