Kona Grand Wagon
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=75093
Sure, it's still a £1000 fixie. But it's got Mavic Ellipse wheelset and Sugino 75 BB & Crankset which will put it ahead of most OTP bikes
hmmmmmmmmmm!!! this is exactly what I'm after for winter and maybe some track time. Steel, SS (does it flip flop?!), bottle mounts, brakes front/back, just not loving the colour.
http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-t ... 6000000000
which says flipflop rear
If I'd seen this a month ago I might've got it rather than the Condor + Campag Pista BB/Crank & new wheelset
Nearly went down the condor route but they never emailed me back, kept adding upgrades few!
Think I might just wait for a second hand langster to crop up.
Whoops, I just sold my Langster.
How tall are you btw? Someone's getting in touch if/when they sell their 55cm Condor Pista (so 5'10" ish) - probably September
Yeah, I couldn't (/wouldn't) afford the Condor new with those parts, though it's still not been a cheap commuter buying a few bits 2nd hand and I now need another frame to move the stock Condor parts onto :roll:0 -
you still got the Triton, dhope?
I used to have the exact same one. Really nice ride I thought - especially for the price.0 -

I'm 5'9 and ride a 56cm Allez. Am watching a 55cm condors on eBay but would imagine the langster has similar geo to the Allez so is a safe bet.0 -

Vermarc are sending free mitts and cap with all orders this month too. I got the Ag2r jersey, mitts and cap for under £30 delivered! No brown shorts though- Genesis Croix de Fer

Probably just being dozy but I can't see any mention of the free mitts & cap on their web site. Are they with any jersey? Are they limited in number?
Thanks0 -

I ordered the ag2r jersey a few months back, they posted the next size up as they'd run out and I got mitts and cap then, thought it was by way of an apology for not having the size I was after but appears it's just standard. The mitts were too small for me, but seemed pretty good quality...Ribble Audax - FCN 5

There is no mention on the site, they announced it on twitter. You can ask for different mitt sizes but caps are one size fits all.- Genesis Croix de Fer

Cheap German GPS anyone?
https://www.bike24.net/1.php?lang=2;con ... 864a7e4a11
Mine arrived on Friday, have tested out some Stravaness and it seems to work quite well indeed (although it seems to under-read speed somewhat . It was a headwind, though ). Picked up all of the expected sections on the commute, something that my Holux never quite managed (The Holux also never managed to keep working in the rain, so has gone to a trip to Taiwan).
Build quality is good and has the ability to do turn-based route-planning. Down side appears that it only has space for three saved rides, ah well - if it's a decent ride, it usually goes on Strava immediately anyway.0 -

Mmm tempted. I too have had issues with my Holux not being waterproof. Had to fight a bit to get it sorted as well, certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone after my experience.0 -

Wish I'd bought one of those, and I told Holux as much..
Ah well, buy in haste, repent at leisure0 -
I've not had any issues with my Holux and it's been ridden through a fair few downpours... What model did you have?Ribble Audax - FCN 5

GPS245 (the cheap one). To be fair my new one's been ok, but my first one only lasted a couple of weeks before taking water in. My issue was more with the customer service. One chap who works there was helpful and apologetic, but others were not so good, and though I eventually got a replacement, I had to fight for it, which I don't enjoy.
Edit: Ah, UE, snap!0 -

I was mistaken, it seems to have three groups of saved rides. Each ride shows up as a sub-ride. All is good.0 -

Well, funny you should say that, my claim went through fine, and Garmin says I have been paid, but I haven't. So i'll keep you updated there
I bought mine from Halfords with 20% discount, then got an additional 10% off through work, minus the £30 cashback, was £620 -

Didn't know Halfords did the Asgard range of Bike Sheds. I bought an Access bike shed from them direct and well pleased with it. Also bought the shelves and hook pack so I can store my toolbox, drills, helmets etc...
It is very secure now I've added a ground anchor and an alarm.
It will be interesting to see if the deliver within 10 days as shown on the Halfords website. Mine took about a month, I believe they are built to order.New Malden to Epsom Downs

Bike shed now ordered. Access shed for £100 off list, or £50 cheaper than the Asgard site. I'll be using the difference to buy the shelf & hook kit.
Thanks for the heads up on the time to deliver, it will give me a chance to prep where its going to sit!FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0
