Any idea why the veloflex clinchers are unsuitable for carbon rims?0
-
It was to do with sidewall protection I think, they've now made tyres with updated/upgrade sidewall.1

I think the Northwave line is being refreshed so more clearances may turn up for these. Second link doesn't work for me...0

They look the same to me but the pair have less discount. I may have missed it but does it say if they are for cable brakes or hydraulic?0
-
First link is for individual levers with a higher discount. The second link is for a complete set with less discount. Buy them individually. 😎 (Assuming in stock). The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Genuinely wondering if it's worth upgrading my 6870 levers.0

I thought the first set are rim + di2 the second mech disc + di2pblakeney said:First link is for individual levers with a higher discount. The second link is for a complete set with less discount. Buy them individually. 😎 (Assuming in stock).

Same model number, same description. Disc brakes not mentioned, only “mechanical”. Ask Wiggle, then blame them. 😂itboffin said:

Mechanical disc brakes are the same levers as for rim brakes0
-
yeah that's what i thought and as i use 2015 Chorus groupset with mech discs i guess that is the case, its tempting at that price for the spare parts bin but then i'm not going over to di2 ever, i just have the need or see the need.shirley_basso said:Mechanical disc brakes are the same levers as for rim brakes
A friend of mine with di2 has it in what i think is called auto shift mode and whilst we were climbing together this year in deep SW his di2 shifted and at the same times his speed dropped enough that i touched his rear wheel, fortunately not off for either of us, sure i should not have been sub 1" off his wheel but damn those hills down in Exmoor are brutalRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

£135 seems like a steal to me for Di2 shifters. They will deffo work with rim brakes?
Tempted to get these then try to pick up the other bits on eBay or wherever.
You get 12 months to return them anyway.0 -
I wouldn't bet my life on it until they arrive but if they are cable operated and 8050 then I'm 99%.
8020 are mechanical hydro and 8070 Di2 hydro.
There is no 'mefhanical disc' specific shifter as it's the same as used for rim1
