Ravemen PR1600 - RRP £130, not seen it this cheap before @ £94.

LOVE the beam pattern of my 1200, plus the powerpack feature it has - handy flexible bonus.
And this one has a remote, so I will likely pop that on the hoods.
Going to buy a couple of extra mounts, so it and the 1200 are super easy to swap between bikes.
ONLY caveat I would voice, is that it states 'in stock', but then on the description states "Due Date TBD"
I'm in no hurry, so no biggy for me, but maybe worth ringing them tomorrow if you're depending on it for near immediate commuting duties.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Merlin have "spend and save" promo on (5/7.5/10% off <£100/100-300/300+ baskets, but you cannot use reward points.
Just buying Shimano 7020 hydraulic brakeset alone means it's now a relatively bonkers ~£221 https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-105-r7020-hydraulic-disc-sti-levers-r7070-flat-mount-disc-calipers-11-speed-119868.html (but if you add another £62+ to basket to trigger 10% discount it effectively drops to ~£215).
~£33 for GP5000 tyres, ~£28 for limited GP4000S II sizes etc. with 10% discount.================

Ravemen PR1600, I'll be sure to check it out. And also this Autel AL519 scanner I found at https://bestobd2scanners.com/autel/al519-review/, since my scanner is already outdated.0

Still very tempted by the shifters and calipers (like I was when it was first mentioned- but this extra discount might swing the deal). Without access to my bike how the hell do i know which option of hose length to choose?0

191 euros on bike24.com and even with the 6.99 shipping its still a lot cheaper

My easteay zener has trp cable brakes which despite tinkering with are still tripe...size 58....what cable length would I need as you're tempting me!0

It's a pre-bled system so if your frame has external routing and the hoses are the right length you can just bolt it all in and go.azzurri78 said:Still very tempted by the shifters and calipers (like I was when it was first mentioned- but this extra discount might swing the deal). If your frame has internal routing or different length requirements then just treat it as a cheap way to get the shifters and calipers.
Personally I would just get the longest length possible and cut to suit (obviously then you'll need oil and a bleed kit if you don't already have one).0 -
Pbk have the 4iiii power meter for £205. Never seen it this cheap.

Great time to buy one, will fit any Hollowtech II setup. No point in paying for an Ultegra when a 105 5800 does the same job for literally a few grams more.redvision said:Pbk have the 4iiii power meter for £205. Never seen it this cheap.

Hey Dazz, arrived in good time mate, apologies, meant to update this thread, think I updated the 'what you've bought' thread instead.
Given your deadline I would be inclined to ring them first to check.
I think I also saw one on Amazon for £100, and Fawkes have it for £99.
EDIT: Just to add, I had no despatch e-mail or anything, it just appeared at work.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Can anyone tell me why this thread shows as "closed" and last post in November 2019? Is it my settings or is it a problem since the new forum came online?0

Ignore me, I now realise there is a new forum section with Deals in, so the old link in commuting chat is "closed"captain_kirk said:Can anyone tell me why this thread shows as "closed" and last post in November 2019? Is it my settings or is it a problem since the new forum came online?

Planet X are currently selling the Vision Team 35 Comp SL Road Clincher Wheelset for £126.48 delivered when you use the code WINTER.
https://planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPVIT35CSL/vision-team-35-comp-sl-road-clincher-wheelset
The same wheels are £199 at Merlin, albeit with Hutchinson Tyres,Tubes & BBB BBS-03A Brake Pads included.0 -
I did look at the visions but decided against when I discovered the 1800g weight listed is without qr and rim tape, and when those are added the wheels come in above 1950g.
Plus I have heard these aren't the stiffest, despite some of the magazine reviews, and the black brake coating comes off after just a few rides.
Plus, getting spares is apparently very difficult, and after a recent experience of having to spend almost the price I paid on replacing bearings and freewheel on a set of pretty much new fulcrums, I don't think I will be going down the route of cheap factory wheels again.0 -
@redvision you pretty much summed up my thoughts. I initially saw them and thought seems like a good deal but I've heard they don't last long. A mate had them and the black coating rubbed off very quickly and yes they seem weighty.
I'm not having much luck with Fulcrum/Campagnolo freehubs either. Scirocco freehub bearings keep on failing. A brand new freehub failed within 3 months to the point I could just pull the front bearing out with my fingers. I replaced the bearings in the old freehub with 2RS bearings so hopefully might last a little longer...0 -

Scott lace up road shoes - carbon sole, £200 down to £59, seemingly available in most popular sizes, and there's also a 10% code floating about too.
I think I have convinced myself not to get any, as I think I prefer ratchet \ BOA closure system.
I have some of their BOA road shoes, and they are brilliant, easily as good as Mavic \ Sidi etc.
