My search for a compromise all purpose breathable waterproof settled on the Altura crosslite, rrp £90.
...and then i found it here for £50!

I am very interested in this if the jacket is any good! I wasn't impressed with the couple of Altura bits I have so I'd love to know what people think.

    It's had good reviews.

What probs? Performance probs (i.e. not waterproof/breathable?) style/fit? or robustness?
Seems like Altura do have zip probs sometimes, but I've got an altura top, an altura nevis jacket and altura pannier - no issues with any of them.

Getting the crosslite because the nevis is too warm for anything other than winter, and being a cheaper jacket its not that breathable.

  • Those saddles are temptalicious...But what's the catch? How come they're so cheap? I can't help but be suspicious of an Ebay vendor selling what looks like premium kit at 1/3 retail.
  • Lidl spoke reflectors, £4 I think

Mine just arrived. Have to tether it otherwise it floats away! All depends on how it feels on the bike but seems a bonkers bargain to me.

Glad you like it, have used mine for 100ish miles and seems armchair comfy, more so than my Selle Flite Gel and around 100gms lighter. Considering ordering a spare, just because you can never have too many saddles

Cheers for the tip off by the way. Obviously, I don't know yet how it will work for me but it looks in many ways quite close to my Arione which is fine.

Got mine too and it's very light! The only thing that concerns me is that it seems to have limited position-ability on the carbon rails, you can't slide the seat way back on the rails, I suppose because they're carbon or something?

Oh god, now you've got me worried! I've never seen one in a shop so I can't say. It looks alright... I think. The seller on ebay seems to have a good history

The Thoork 'for test' saddles originated from Planet X, at least, they sold a lot of them recently. I'd say the ebay ones are legit.

  • Thanks, some good bargains on eBay but I'm always a bit wary if items are priced well below that of identical items also listed on eBay. I was going to order a charge spoon but may well order this instead.
