Cool, cheers fellas. My Gatorskins are almost worn out so this is quite a timely offer. Not sure I want coloured tyres though, so will have to be the GPs (They're GP4000s right?)0
-
Not sure what the difference is between GP4000 and the GP4000S. Mine have done a limited amount of commuting miles though, but seem ok so far. For £20.00 each it sounds like a bargain.0
-
I am back on the Gatorskins after trying some Ultremos. 3 p***ctures, all on the sidewalls and a tear each sustained when riding in dampish conditions suggest these are great dry weather tyres but not so good otherwise. Ran them at 110, i am only 75k and I ride to avoid potholes and debris. Seems the sidewalls are a bit flimsy. They are fast though, noticeably so. Shame...0

Bought a Lazer Genesis (v. nice!) for just over a ton and a Garmin 800 which was down to £278 - I don't think that's too bad.
Thought Id look into this as i want a Garmin 800 as well. Wiggle have the 800 at £349.99 and when added to the basket it comes in at 10% off at £314.99 without adding any voucher codes. Then when you add the 20% off code it comes in at £279 savingan additional £35, but thats not 20%, its another 10% off the initial list price. Shouldn't they give you 20% off £314.99? Or am I reading too much into this and should just take it at £279?0 -
Says 20% off price, excluding any reductions already in place as far as I can tell.Peter0

Looking at it again I think you are right. I got all excited when I thought you could get 20% off when the price was £314.99. I still think it is a great price and have had to hide my wallet away to stop me ordering one...0

Does anyone have any comment on the puncture resistance of the Ultremos (and the others for that matter)?
Just bought some Ultremo's, they look very, very fragile.. i'd go for GP4000S, like RC never had a p*ncture in over a 1000 miles.
I ride the Ultremo ZXs, they might look fragile but I'm actually amazed by them! Over 1000 miles and no puncture (although riding over glass I did manage to slit one the other day, even then it wasn't a total disaster as the final layer didn't rupture so I was able to get home ok). Add to the fact that they are fast and sticky and roll up well and I think they justify the price. Never tried the Ultremo Rs though...Nice weather bike: Fondriest TF2 (white/ black)
Training Bike: Giant Avail (white/ blue/ green)
Track bikes: Planet X Franko Bianco (white) and 7VRN (white/ black)

Those Specialized Mondo Pro 2 Tyres look a good deal! And for £11, deal!
I'd get the Ultermos if they were in Black, I ran them all last summer and rate them!0 -

In UK sizes I'm a large in most ways, but have bought XL in these. I have a pair of Bontrager RXL bib-shorts in large from last year and they're slightly immodest in their tightness - I fear that the lycra is stretched to the point of translucence.0 -
Going by bontrager's website the sizing is this :-
SIZE CHEST WAIST HIP
inches cm inches cm inches cm
XS 33-34 84-86 26-28 66-71 33-34 84-86
S 34-36 86-91 28-30 71-76 34-36 86-91
M 36-38 91-97 30-32 76-81 36-38 91-97
L 38-40 97-102 32-34 81-84 38-40 97-102
XL 42-44 107-112 36-38 91-97 42-44 107-112
XXL 46-48 117-122 40-44 102-112 46-48 117-122
XXXL 48-50 122-127 45-48 114-122 48-50 122-127
I'm usually a large/XL but with a 41" chest and 33" waist I've gone for all mine in Large.0 -

Evans have Castelli Fawesome Gillet's from £100 down to £49.99.
Lovely.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Tempting, anyone got one? Looks to be more of an autumn/winter gilet than a packable early-morning spring/summer vest though, got a few of the former, none of the latter - my Assos Climajet's great when it's wet or very windy but a bit too boil-in-the-bag for regular wear. Think I need to find a decent deal on a Leggero vest."Mummy Mummy, when will I grow up?"
"Don't be silly son, you're a bloke, you'll never grow up"0 -
I've ordered the Fawsome and the Isterico (the Isterico is also around £50 off and has rear pockets) so hopefully I'll have them by Saturday.
Castelli say they are for use between 10c and 18c but I wouldn't generally use a gillet if it was 10c. Generally I use mine if it's a bit damp and windy out but not wet enough to need a full on waterproof jacket.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Thought I may as well order some into my local Evans and try them out. Suspect I wont keep any of them though - probably too hot for me and have a Gore Phantom for the job if they are winter based. Never know though - might like them!
Thanks0 -
£50 still seems a lot for a gilet to me, probably why reduced from the original £100+ !0

A pair of the very highly regarded DHB Aeron Pro bib shorts now with 20% off. Will be ordering a second pair as soon as I know I'm happy with the sizing.0

I suppose if you could swap the Powertap for a regular hub and sell the wheel on at a reasonable price, you might end up with a cheap Powertap - bit of a gamble though....ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0
